Ok, I have posted about 2 weeks ago about how I could not find Satellite 121 with my superdish using the following numbers

Azimuth 172
Skew 95
Elevation 50

WHen I raise the elevation to about 57 I would get all the 110/119 but only few transponders from 121.

However, I went to a friends house today. He has a Superdish 121 as well and was installed by a professional. The current settings on his are the following:

Azimuth ??? not sure on this
Skew 85
Elevation 60

His zip code is 91011 and my zip code is 91776, we're not too far away. But that big of a difference in settings? 50 -> 60? 95 -> 85?

Will someone check the settings for 91011 on there boxes? I'm not at home right now, so im unable to check it.

Also, is it possible that the information given by the Box is incorrect sometimes?

I know we are in different cities, but the difference between those are fairly big for only couple of cities. Maybe only 5-6 miles away.

Zip Code == Az/Elev/Skw

SuperDish 121:
- 91011 = 910xx == 171/50/94
- 91776 = 917xx == 172/50/95

SuperDish 105:
- 91011 = 910xx == 143/48/72
- 91776 = 917xx == 144/48/72

A bunch of wrongs can make a right. :D
- Mast not plumb
- Skew plate over tightened, and now warped
- Bent pan
- Bent arm
- The dish (LNBF arm, pan) easily shifts left and right when tightening the elevation bolts on the left and right sides.
- etc...

Here's the information provided to you on your earlier thread.

EDIT:
This is from your first thread:
When i try scanning for channels, I would get a few international channels, but the rest is "NO SIGNAL".
It seems like you would either be pointed to 121 or not.
What did you mean by scanning and you got a few international channels?
What type of switch are you using?
What receiver model are you using?

Don't know why you want to bother. 121 is going away soon.

As far as I know you won't be able to buy them unless it is required that you have them.

Dish is taking all internationals and locals off of 121 and 105 and putting them on 118.7.

I've been waiting for the Repoint Kit since the summer of 06, got tired of waiting, so I bought a Dish 500+.

However, I still have a SD 121 down in the swamps that I would like to upgrade.

Time to go shopping.

OGXJASON15:

I started to say, you may be better off getting a Dish 500+, provided the channels you are looking for are actually on 118.7.

I've installed 2 SuperDish 121's and did not have any problems; but I was able to stand on solid footing and did not have to hang over a ladder. The Dish 500+ seemed to be lighter and balanced better.
