Hi all-

I'm looking for advice on reducing my bill. Here is my current status:

New Monthly Charge(s) 06/23 to 07/22

AMERICA'S EVERYTHING VALUE PAK-AMERICA'S TOP 250,4 94.99
DISH HOME PROTECTION PLAN (DHPP) 5.99
DISH NETWORK DVR SERVICEFEE 0.00
DISHHD 20.00
LEASED RECEIVER FEE 6.00
LEASED RECEIVER FEE 5.00
PREMIUM PACKAGE LOCALS 0.00

Account Charges $ 131.98

My receivers are: ViP 622, DVR 522, and DVR 510. Please break down the following scenarios and adviseme as to how my bill would change:

Switch to 100 plus with locals & Showtime
Switch to 100 plus with locals
Switch to 100 wilth locals plus MULTI SPORT

Thanks for your help. I know DVR fees and the sort would kick in and I want to know the figures on what I would actually save. Can you tell I don't trust CSR's?

IF you would switch to the dvr advantange pack for top 200 $49.99 - includes your locals & no dvr fee on the one receiver- you would save $3.98 over doing it the regular way. You would still pay dvr fees for the other two receivers though. You could then add any movie pack for $10.00 Also you could drop the digital home protection plan and save 5.99 a month. You can add and drop this insurance as needed. Are you sure you need a seperate dvr like the old 510 model? The 522 could be run to the other room where the 510 is and you could use it in dual mode . Or do the same thing using the 622 and you could eliminate one additional receiver fee and one dvr fee saving you 11.98 a month right there. The dvr advantage pack can be used for either top 200 or top 250 at 49.99 and 59.99 respectively. It is the best option if you don't want to sub to AEP.

Yeah, Mike is right.

I have the AT250(which is the DVR Advantage at $49.99 + $10 to get AT250). Since the adding the 250 to DVRAdv counts as a premium, like Mike said youd get any movie channel you want for $10 more a month.

If you wouldnt miss NatGeoHD, then the DVR Advantage would not be bad at $49.99. As Mike stated you could also cut the DHPP. I personally would not have the AT250 if it werent for NatGeo.

I dont know much about the older recievers so I cant help you there.
