I hope thats not true. Id really like to see Urban back in Orange and Blue!!! Although I am not going to kick Will to the curb yet (you get at least 2-3 seasons before we bring the torches down here)..
I am really second guessing the whole Charlie Weis thing though. I miss the fun N gun Spread option offense. This pro-offense is boring. We been running the spread for nearly 25 years or so, (thanks Daddy Steve) the Fun N Gun is FLA!
I understand its easier to get recruits and stay consistent running a pro style offense etc (because the players are easier to find) but dammit its not as fun!
I'm really enjoying watching Oregon's Offense the last few years, hopefully we can see an imaginative offense in Columbus soon.

Jim, my apologies if anything that I have said has upset you. Yes, I often do the SEC, SEC, SEC, rah rah when I discuss sports with other members, but I was under the assumption that it was all in good fun, and everyone took it in the light hearted manner that it was intended. This discussion was no exception to that, and I even congratulated you guys on what is a possible hire, and a good one at that.
As far as the civility in the conversation, I am not sure how you came to that conclusion. I stand by my posting history as a very polite and civil conversationalist.
If you feel that I am not, then my advice is to report me when you feel that I cross a line, or to put me on ignore.

Um Pitt has ten players from Florida and the team sucks. Those players were from the previous coach and did well but now that there is a new coach and new scheme they suck.
It's not all about where the players are from it's are the right players fitting into the right scheme.

The loss of Dwayne Stanford to Oregon didn't linger too long. Just a short time ago we were able to confirm that Lakeland (FL) WR Ricquan Southward made the switch from his Miami (FL) verbal commitment and gave the OSU staff his verbal pledge.
Southward, a 4-star recruit in the class of 2012, had been committed to the Hurricanes for a while, but with the NCAA looming and Urban Meyer on the way to Columbus, the south Florida stand out decided he wanted to don the Scarlet and Gray for the forthcoming years.
