According to 'Sports by Brooks', Urban Meyer is new....

Urban Myer is a liar. He lied to the players, fans, the athletic director, recruits and the university. I hope him and his "family" enjoy Ohio, they now deserve each other.

That being said, he will eat up the Big 10 and spit it out. He will make Braxton Miller a star. Every conference game will be a coaching mismatch.

Boy how times change. Just think about how you were talking about him just one year ago.

Dear Mr. Meyer,

FLA would like to offer you the highest paid coaching job in the country along with enough money to hire the highest paid staff in the country. Please come back

Sincerely,

Fans who cant take another year of beating Fruman just to be bowl eligible.

Sorry but this was printed this morning not last night.. and no need to get rude - If he goes then ok may as well lie about it now and then get in have NCAA sanctions dropped on the team for a few years.

He hasn't signed nothing and if he did and is telling ESPN (his current employer) to print he hasn't then he's a liar and has dropped a notch in my book - either say you are or say you are not right when it happens or doesn't happen.

Wow, is this your first time seeing a coach NOT answer a question to the reporters liking ?
Hasn't most coaches done the same thing when they are being rumored before the opening happens ?

I'm just reporting EVERYTHING that I see right from mainstream media... I'm not a fly on his wall so don't sit here for one damn second and say that I'm chirping anything - I've givin my opinion on what I think he should do and that's stay put and enjoy family life and avoid a train wreck once the NCAA comes down on them.. so you can over turn false claims all you want but they are not mine...just a copy and paste of the news is all I'm putting.

So thats not YOUR Opinion that he should stay put ?

The guy wants to Coach, if the Bucks don't get him, he'll go somewhere else.

Well that was before his fraud "retirement".

Fraud retirement ?

He retired, and decided he's had enough of being home, maybe the family is telling him they want to move !

As long as his Health is good now, thats the important part.
If he has a clean bill of health and wants to get back into coaching, GREAT !!!
Thats what the guy does ... COACH.

Plenty of times coaches retire for Family and then go back to coaching.
Happens often.

He "retired" twice from Florida. Two years ago for about a week to get his "health" issues under control and for good last year.
Ha. I still say he couldn't take it. Seven year deal???
Funny how he knows his health will let him coach that long. LOL

Do you KNOW if you'll wake up in the morning ?

(heres hoping and expecting you do !)

What's with the disdain everyone who is an SEC fan has with Meyer?
Did you REALLY think he wasn't ever going to coach again?
Is it because he is going to OSU/Big Ten?
Would you feel the same way if he was going to another SEC school?
Are you afraid that there will now be a team that can challenge the SEC "powerhouses"? (Which there already are, of course)

Not just people in the SEC questioning Meyer. Dan Patrick went off on him today.
If ANYONE makes a big deal about health, family and then all of a sudden does an about face.
Ha. The challenge against the SEC is only coming from within. Check out who will likely be in the NCG.:)

I was referring to the SEC fans on this board. They are the only ones going apesh!t over this.....

He's been out a year....maybe that was enough time to balance out his system, get him on a medical regime.....who knows?

Enjoy that SEC big head now. It won't be like that forever......which is what I was talking about.

You guys shouldn't be shocked.all these coaches are the same.they always want to put family, health and other things first.but the reality is that they always come back to coaching.they can't live without it even if it means coaching would kill them.especially if you've been as successful as Meyer .

It is not every SEC fan. I dont fault him at all. He took some time off, for whatever reason (buy his explanation or not). Florida moved on, he moved on, now he has the itch again.
Big deal. Wish him luck and thank him for the success that you had while he was there.

And I will keep my SEC big head thank you very much. SEC! SEC! SEC!

Well, you might as well enjoy while you can...I would... ;)

I bet you would. It has been so long :D

2002 wasn't that long ago for a NC! :D

and we were in the NCG in 2006 and 2007, 3 times total....not too shabby

and most appearances in BCS bowl games with 9, and a 6-3 record in those.

How 'bout that Crimson Tide?

3 appearances and 1-2, with the 2010 NC, of course! ;)
