I just got word that a very LIMITED number of 942's (Less then 500) will be released on or around March 19th.

I do hope that I can get my hands on one so I can review it for you. I know Mark from DBSTalk already has a unit and will also be doing a full review.

Dont know about the rest of them Juan... but ,mine is pretty much in use everyday....:) even if I have to archive to Replay...(which I do on purpose at times)... reason being , I can stream it to Replay in Ht room ...(still dvd or better Pq , bit rate etc...)

I got NEWBE questions for what to order

PLEASE HELP, newbe question.

I searched and read all the related posts, but I am confused even more.

I will be ordering a 942, 522, and a 811 as a new customer on the Digital lease plan. Im leaving Direct TV.

1. Will the Dishstore have any of the first 942 would it be faster if I called DIshnetwork.

2. For these three boxes, what Switch would I be getting for 5 SAT outputs?

3. will the Dishpro stuff need a power supply to the switch like with Direct TV?

4.
Is it true the lease is just $5 per month for each box and the 942 has a $250 setup/startup fee?

5.
Are the any other "special" startup fees I should know about for the 522 and 811

6. can you turn OFF one of the boxes later (un lease say the 811 or 522, if I dont like it) with out pentaty (down grade fees).

7. Do they still have RV waivers so I can get Denver and or the West cost locals when I travel.

8. When you do a lease do they run a credit check, I have a credit alert on my SS# so the credit beurals will have to call me first, what will happen when I order?

Most of this I cannot help ya with, hang tight and help will be on way... Dishstore is pretty prompt on delivery of goods....

When the 921 came out we took pre orders for it. However because of all the delays and problems with the 921 when they finally came out NO ONE wanted them, And those who wanted them couldnt get them from us as we had to honor our waiting list.

We do hope to have a handfull of 942's on the 21st. PLEASE DO NOT CALL UNTIL I POST THAT DISHSTORE HAS THEM IN STOCK. :D

Honestly for this promotion you are better off going through Dish Network.

If 4 turners are needed (example two for a 942 and two for a 522) do they always install a DPP44 for new customers,

or do installs sometimes install the older equipment- what ever they have used left over from customer returns. Just wondering what I should expect (new in a box or use old parts).

Should I get a 921 or wait for the 942, I am craving an HD DVR ?

If you're jumping in I'd get a 942 over a 921. It has much more features at release time and will have more attention paid to it. The 921 is on it's way out. Actually the 921 is out when the 942 is in, production of the 921 is stopping(ed)

The 625 is now on there web site

522 modulation
