625 Noise

It is normal for the 625 to make noise like the hardrive is writing something?? Since the guys from DN installed it makes a noise every minute, is not loud but at night time is a little disturbing

Say it aint so.............I want to upgrade from the 508 to the 625, but not if it is noisy.....................

Mine is loud. Its not anoying, but its still noticable.

Don't notice too much noise coming from my 625.

The hard drive of the 942 I have gets load when I do a reboot on it, but goes away when the reboot is done.

To hear the hard drive noise, like as a computer, is normal as it is downloading information from the satellite so often. But it usually is not that loud. If yours seems too loud then I would call tech support and they should want to replace it. I have run into several 625's with this issue only to find out that the hard drive was going bad. Hey it's electronis equipment, it can go bad.
