508 problem after 3.00 software update

The recordings that were on my hard drive were not able to be watched, even though they were still listed. How many hours of recordings are available on the 508? Dish's "Help" screens say 80 hours, but my unit says 60 hours.

It's about 60 hours with an 80gb hard drive for the 508. Have you tried a reset of the unit? You can either turn off unit, wait 5 minutes and unplug for awhile or hold down the power button on the front of the unit for 5 seconds to reset it. Good luck!
