The Tournament has given use the Top Teams playing the Top teamsOne play turned a tight game into an easy to finish out victory.
OSU v Notre Dame in the final.
If the playoff has proven anything, it is indicating that the top teams should be playing each other more... if this was about competition.
You really think so ?These teams not so good this year. OSU QB locked in and late on his receivers ... good grief
If they did that, you will have better teams but with more loses, so we would be back to guessing who should be in the playoffs again. If the playoff has proven anything, it is indicating that the top teams should be playing each other more... if this was about competition.
yepYou really think so ?
Maybe but other teams not so good too.I think this is the Best Notre Dame team in Ages
WhateverTexas, when was the last time they were in the Top group of teams .
They are the ones that notoriously says "We are Back" after a Big Win and never get any further ... This year they did.
They might be the best of this lot. but would stand no chance against past OSU champsOhio State is usually Up there, this year, like many, have to have someone Kick them in the Ass before they put it all together.
BingoJust because Bama and Georgia is not in it at the end this year, doesn't mean the teams are no good.
I don't think the sec was as good as normally this year, maybe thats a Good thing.
Thus these teams don't stay together and get better in second & third years.I think the NIL/Transfer Portal is helping Other teams much more than most thought would happen.
Of the semi-final, the teams were all top 6 (well, 3 to 6). I'm willing to apply an asterisk to Penn State due to them having the easiest route. But if anything, the playoff seemingly both justified the rankings in general, and its own existence.Oregon, the #1 ranked team going into the playoffs, looked like they may not have survived week one had they not had a bye.
What makes a top team isn't all about rankings and records.
I disagree.yep
Maybe but other teams not so good too.
Whatever

weaker overall.
Sadly, the teams were not ranked according to thier positioning during the season.Of the semi-final, the teams were all top 6 (well, 3 to 6). I'm willing to apply an asterisk to Penn State due to them having the easiest route. But if anything, the playoff seemingly both justified the rankings in general, and its own existence.
The top teams were generally in the semi's. Hooray rankings. The rankings prove to be accurate, but not precise. The firewall is the playoff, which oversees the lesser of the well regarded. The "Top Two" teams dropped out, hooray the playoff to double check the rankings.
Personally, I think the best playoff would be a three game round robin of the top four teams. But getting the top four, it seems, it outside the capacity of the rankings system.
You are entitled to be wrong. lolI disagree.
Not a SEC fan. wrong again. but I can tell a Shelby over a plain Mustang.Sounds like your Clearly a sec fan and don't like that your team isn't in it.
Which is understandable ... but Georgia clearly got beat and Bama was never that good this year.
??????? smhBuckeyes are Way better than previous Buckeye teams.
They are forced to play each other, some one will win. but it does not prove continuity doesn't work. The games needed to win in the Playoffs is Way harder than ever before.
Having to win 4 games against Top teams, has never been required.
So ...You are entitled to be wrong. lol
