Texas & Oklahoma to the SEC? If this actually happens (I think A&M will exercise the pact Georgia, Florida, Kentucky & South Carolina have to prevent it), then it would pretty much be the end of the Big 12 as a power conference.

I think it’s absolutely going to happen, even though I’m not necessarily for it.
However with the way things are changing in the college landscape, it’s probably a good move for the SEC and the member schools long term. If it isn’t the SEC it’s gonna be someone, and the others conferences will look different in a decade as well.

As to the “gentleman’s agreement”. I don’t see that holding any weight at all. If the people in charge of the SEC think this is for the best, they will tell A&M to get over it.

A&M AD must have been scolded. Without outright saying it, he stated they wouldn’t block the move and would be ready to compete at the highest level, which is what the SEC is.

IF this happens, and I think it will, the Big Ten better talk seriously with ND (in case they come to thier senses) Oklahoma State would be a good addition and a few others.

If that happens, then the Big 12 will no longer exist.

Then again, I still think that the Group of 5 should go thier own way and have thier own playoffs and championship.
Those that want to go up to Big Boy football should have the option at that time ... Cincinnati, maybe Memphis were looking at you guys.

WBNS's TV is a good source for all OSU things going on. I didn't know anything about what happened until my sister told me. I watched a little of the practice and they looked pretty good.

How can they just decide that they are not going to allow said team ?

Then again, Ohio State looked into playing the SEC last year, so they could have a season.

Big Ten said they could not leave ... can the Big 12 do the same ?

simple, per SEC rules it takes requires 3/4’s of the schools to approve a new member, which means 4 no votes will block someone from joining.

Notre Dame makes more money off of NBC than it would going with a conference. They won't switch for Football until they can't get the TV money on their own.

Not true.
Notre Dame made less with NBC and partial ACC combined last year than each member of the ACC.
Notre Dame can be bull headed and not join a conference and left behind or join a conference. It’s pretty simple.

Do they make more being the only team with a national tv contract to appeal to recruits. Sure at this point the Notre Dame name means more for the history.
