Dont they play OSU in a week or two? That would be a huge win, and vault them up several spots IMO. Tons of football left to play, with several top ten matchups remaining to say there would be very little chance to go from 13-4.
Honestly, and I could be wrong, I dont see the other poll deviating much from what we already see if it were released today. Who knows what the landscape will look like when it comes out though.
As for Fields, I didn't know much about him prior to coming to Columbus ...

Wisconsin plays Ohio State this weekend.
They play Iowa yet, which ya never know about them ..
They also have the last game of the year against Minnesota ... that game will make or break the Big Ten West ...
Winner will most likely go to the BT Championship game
We have a great freshman now named Spencer Rattler. You'll hear more about him next year when Hurts graduates.
I do remember him coming in and going 10 for 10 on completions for one game or something like that. Everyone thought he would just run. They actually took the cuffs off.
I still wish that kid well. I don't know all the specifics why he left. He pretty much ran his mouth then bolted. I remember hearing his sister said him going to Miami was a program upgrade.

We all knew all the talk of "I'm coming back" wasn't true ...
What a way to bail on your team ... he's a good QB, but who's gonna take a chance on a guy that leaves in the middle of his season ?
Hard to say, from what I have seen he is talented, but gets flustered. Most of his playing time has been hand the ball off and kill the clock, so hard to say how he will do actually running the offense.
I suspect his role will be a game manager type situation, and hopefully lean on Harris to move the sticks.

Not hard to find, it was all over the news here in Georgia, as well as various fan sites.
Why would I look into someone that my team hasn't shown any interest in (at that point ) ?
I don't even know his name if the Buckeyes hadn't been looking... he's a back up at that point ... how many back ups do you know ... before they are brought into the spotlight ?
I think now days, being #1 isn't that big of a deal, as long as your in the top 4.
Like my Buckeyes, I don't care if they are #1 at all this year, till after the last game.

I actually would want to be in the top 3, the 4th spot is too easy to fall out of.
Personally, I think the reason Clemson is dropping is because they are not passing the eye test at the moment.
They haven't lost, so I think they will stay there or rise back up, once they string a few dominant games together, they seem to be almost bored with the games they have played of late.
They just are not crisp, at the moment and the media is watching Lawrence closely because he became thier darling last year.
Now they have seen some flaws .... multiple interceptions ...
I think the general consensus is that he'll turn it on when he has to.
Again ... Polls mean nothing, till the Committee starts thier poll.
Things Could be a whole lot different in a few weeks ... committee wise.
Someone in the top 5 could be out at 7-10 or worse.
