Even with the loss, I don't think it really diminished Kentucky much. A&M is pretty good, so it's not a "bad" loss .

For now it seems three teams are better than the rest.

Exactly. Texas A&M has lost to the #1 and #2 teams in the nation, so I never thought with 100% assurance that they would win that game. I expect that might lose 2 more games the rest of the season.

The thing that upsets me about Kentucky losing was that the coaching staff went away from the Benny Snell show. Even though they had done a decent job of stopping him, Snell has shown that late in games is really when he shines.

The other thing, Wilson was HORRIBLE all game. He was tentative and looked as if he was starting his first game ever. Maybe that was due to the defense A&M was showing him but, he was pretty bad.

Yes I agree. Why he only had a handful of carries when he was averaging 4.5 yds/carry is beyond me.

I watched the Buckeyes play this week and was impressed with Minnesota's freshman RB, he's gonna be good if they have a line for him to work behind in the next several years ...

Buckeyes looked OK, nothing spectacular, Haskins again was very good, O line was poor and the D has a lot of work to do (injuries are alot of it, but even when they were together, they hadn't gelled as of yet ... Bosa probably will be back middle of November (if games are important I believe he'll be back) LB Harrison had been playing well and was out and 1 of the Starting D linemen didn't play either) ...
Anyways, if they get people back and have time to gell, they will be Playoff worthy ...

I never felt the game was in doubt ... I think they can play offensively with anyone.... so they will be in all the games.

After watching that game me and a friend were sure that they would drop in the polls to 4 or maybe 5, mainly because of I guess what people call "Style points" or lack of. Style points to me is BS, if you win, you win ... Fwiw, Buckeyes won 30-14

THEN .....
The rest of Saturday took place ...
I watched Georgia vs LSU (been watching LSU due to Burrows being there and his Buckeye connections)
LSU thoroughly outplayed Georgia .... I felt Georgia played very lackluster .... difference between them and the Buckeyes was the outcome.

However, if Georgia gets thier act together and wins out, they are right back in the SEC championship game, and would be right back in the top 4 with a win ...
So, the loss by them, did not end thier playoff hopes.

I watched the ND game last week and was very impressed, watched the 2nd half of this weeks and am not AS impressed, they too could have lost this week.

4 teams in the top 10 lost this week, so amazingly when I expected to drop, they rose ...

Well, Georgia's soft schedule for the first part of the year softened them up to be hammered by the first tough team they played.

That's actually why I like Saban's policy of playing a good team to start the year, toughens your team up and doesn't get them complacent by just pounding the Austin Pevy's of the world.

Wow! OU didn't even play, and they moved up two spots. With West Virginia losing, it looks like an OU/Texas rematch in the Big-12 title game.

Well, Georgia's soft schedule for the first part of the year softened them up to be hammered by the first tough team they played.

That's actually why I like Saban's policy of playing a good team to start the year, toughens your team up and doesn't get them complacent by just pounding the Austin Pevy's of the world.

Maybe but I would argue that LSU playing a few good teams helped them much more. Tigers looked better in every aspect of the game.

Definitely. Georgia's has played no one, and LSU has, thus better preparing the Tigers for the game. That's why I've always said it's better to play strong teams early.

That's actually why I like Saban's policy of playing a good team to start the year, toughens your team up and doesn't get them complacent by just pounding the Austin Pevy's of the world.

I like that as well as long as you don't lose that game ... then you start the year with a lose ... which IS better than a late loss (for some reason).

I prefer to play the tough teams game 3 or 4, this way you have a little bit of time to gell ....
Buckeyes, Bama, Clemson and some others loss so many to the NFL that you really have no idea what you have in game 1.

Then again, Bama plays cup cake U late in the season, for some unknown reason, when all others are playing thier tough games.

What have you done for me lately? Last game, Cats lost.

Florida beat LSU, LSU just beat Georgia.

For the Cats, the big thing is Georgia lost, and if George can beat Florida, Cats are in a real good place. Need to beat Missouri though and Tennessee is improving.

Auburn is a cupcake?

Their last 4 games are:

• The Citadel
• Auburn

While Citadel is an easy game, that's only 1 of the last 4.

And having an easy game as your next to last game is hardly uncommon.
