2013 NCAA Basketball Tournament

...McGrady has been a factor as well as bench players coming up with big threes

Go Blue!

Grady? Heck, I completely forgot he was coming off the bench...outstanding passer, when we can keep him off the Ripple and sober. :D

That is not what kills a zone. The Center is the most important person to break the zone. That center position/area will ALWAYS be open, it is a matter of can the center consistantly hit the 18 footer...and if he can't is he smart enough to make the CORRECT pass....whether it is to an open 3point shooter or someone under the basket. Your chances of hitting 30-35 footers are not good..and hitting them consistantly, is even less.

You must have consulted for Michigan this past week. McGary was the reason we won last night. Beilien outcoached Boeheim last night. Michigan did a great job of protecting the ball in the first half with only 2 turnovers. They displayed great patience on offense. At one point they had 14 consecutive assists. Last 2 minutes of the game was ugly, looked more like a high school game than the NCAA.

Congrats (begrudgingly) to you Wolverine fans.:D Syracuse D made it as you guys called it,an ugly game.If Syracuse could have made a few perimeter shots of their own,the outcome could have been very different.Think they hit maybe 2 3's the entire game?

I'm still going with Louisville by a nudge,to win the championship. The big difference between Louisville's press, and VCU"S havoc D,is the athletes. Those Cardinal players can press for 90 minutes if needed. That said,Louisville better not let Burke or Hardaway get going early.

They said the Cuse D was gonna suffocate Mich as well ...

This should be a good game tonight. But Louisville should win.

I'll be rooting for Michigan, if for nothing else, as they can protect once of the most impressive records my school owns solely.

Only UConn (2004) has won both the men's and women's titles in the same year. Ville has a chance, but will (ironically) have to go through UConn on the women's end, to do it.

The way the UConn women are playing right now, I don't think Louisville has much of a chance.

He did not outcoach Boeheim because the zone does not change. You guys in the big Ten do not see the zone enough to know that there is no adjustments in a zone. It's like a knuckleballer throwing knuckle balls...it either an effective pitch, or it's flat as hell and gets pounded.

What help Michigan....SAVED Michigan was that they completely outplayed Syracuse in the 1st half and killed the zone. In the second half...those same 3 pointers weren't falling and the center was not hitting those big shots.

Syracuses' only chance to win was have a good OFFENSIVE game....they didn't and they lost. The Zone did it's job and held a much better offensive team to 14 points below their average. The offense didn't hold up their end of the bargain.

Looked to me that Michigan's defensive scheme worked better.
