2013 MLB Postseason

Your bullpen is light years better than the Tigers ...
Pens been thier downfall for years and they never address it.

Going into the season, I thought that the bullpen was the Red Sox biggest strength. Then they lost two closers (Joel Hanrahan and Andrew Bailey) to season ending injuries, and their best left-handed specialist (Andrew Miller). But what Breslow, Tazawa and especially Uehara have done is nothing short of phenomenal!

Tigers had the chance to get Soriono (now in Washington) and they decided he wasn't important enough, they thought they had a young Rondon to fill the Closers role ... Rondon may in about 3 years, Rondon had never pitched in the Majors and they are gonna ask this kid to Close right out of Spring Training ... That was a HUGE GAMBLE that Dombrowski failed miserably with.

IF they had gotten Soriano, Benoit would still be the 8th inning guy and you'd only need to fill the 7th when your Starters don't have it to get thru the 7th.

Hopefully, Fister will be on his game tomorrow, they really NEED to win tomorrow.

Wednesday-NLCS Game 5
Cardinals (Kelly) at Dodgers (Greinke)- 4:00pm ET (TBS)

Wednesday-ALCS Game 4
Red Sox (Peavy) at Tigers (Fister)- 8:00pm ET (FOX)

On MLB Network they were showing examples of Cabrera hitting against Tazawa in 2009 and 2012, along with tonight. What a difference, Cabrera has no lower body rotation now due to his injuries...his whole swing is all upper body.

How disappointing ...

Series is probably over... when your Starters pitch like the Tigers did and they lose 2 out of 3, thats pathetic.

They had runners in scoring position plenty of times tonight.

Fielder stinks, he can't field and can't hit in the post season, we got him to be a clutch hitter, he's had the advantage of someone hitting behind him since the All Star break and has done nothing.

The hits he has had have never been with anyone on base.

Red Sox got Great pitching as well, thier hitters have been shut down by the starters, but at least they hit when they get to the pen.
Tigers pretty much gave up in the ninth, avila looked lost, I really think he wanted to try to get a walk, thats his MO.

I think hitters are getting tired of having to go out to the other side of the plate to find anything to hit and they are chasing pitches, that goes for both teams.

I wouldn't go quite that far. It was disappointing not getting wins out of Verlander and Scherzer but a win tomorrow means a tied series. Scherzer and Verlander could pitch games 6 and 7 to close out the series. Things haven't gone great the last two games but this series is far from over.

I know, just majorly disappointed. ...
Tigers have wasted a lot of good Verlander starts this year.

Well, if it's gonna be the final game of 2013 at Chavez Ravine today at least it will be a beauty. It will be near 90 degrees and breezy at game time. So look for the balls to be flying out over the Pavilions today. I hope the Dodgers can pull out a win at home and let the chips fall as they may in St. Louis.
