I've always had respect for the Yankees. Joe Torre, Mariano Rivera, Derek Jeter, Bernie Williams, Paul O'Neil, how do you have anything but respect for those guys. Sure, there's A-Rod, but I'd hate him even if he was on the Padres.

I read some of the Detroit side of reporting about the game, wanted to read the Boston side, went to the paper I expected to get the most info from, The Boston Globe....
Nope, cant read them without a subscription, what a joke.
I know alot of other newspapers are pay as well, but usually you can read at least a few articles before you get the Sub needed message, Not here.
I guess ill not be getting ant info from the Globe perspective.

I think the Sox will actually do better against Max and J.V. mainly because they are a fastball hitting team.

I have a problem with the Tigers. I try to find something, anything unlikeable about the Red Sox opponent (with the Rays I NEVER have to try too hard), but other than beating the Sox tonight I can honestly say there's nothing even remotely annoying about the Tigers.

Ya know...that's how I feel, too. I can honestly say I am not a fan but overall I have found nothing about them to dislike. Heck, how can not respect a guy like Jim Leyland? It is a well-respected franchise rich in history. The only thing I can honestly say annoys me is their analyst Rod Something-or-Other. He has ahhh very annoying ahhh habit of saying "ahhh" about every 5th or 6th word and it drives me absolutely bonkers! So it is sound on mute or opposing team's booth if I watch the Tigers.

Great game last night...chewed my fingernails to the bone. Yikes! I would have loved to have posted last night, but the missus made an effort to watch the game with me so I made dinner and we enjoyed the evening. Regardless, this should be a great series with a huge game tonight! Go Tigers!

That's always been my complain about the ignore feature in those rare times where you one would like to use it; the ignored should be blocked from ready and replying to your posts.
