2013 MLB Postseason

Sanchez is making way too many pitches. He's not going to last long.

Then again, this is exactly what the Red Sox do to pitchers. This is why their games can last over 4 hours.

The Sox and Yankees have been running up pitch counts for many years now.
All teams should do it, but most don't.

Watch Tuesday night and see how many pitches the Sox foul off from Verlander .... anything they don't think they can hit solidly, they foul off to run the count up.
Thats smart hitting if you can do it.

Sanchez has 51 pitches so far, he's pitching very well, but if this continues, it will get into the Tigers pen by the 6th or 7th, advantage Sox.

Lester is thru 3 and has 6 less pitches.

Blah blah blah. It was a lovely reach out by Dustin. You in your analytical statistic mind cannot accept it for what it is as we mere mortals do. I will stop before I start flaming.

Relax. No reason to get so upset. It's only a game.

Let me ask you a couple of questions simply to help you understand myself a little better. I don't care if we agree. I am simply seeking clarity only.

If I posted in during the 5th inning that the game is over when the Cards went up 1-0, what would have been your reaction? If I waited until the 9th to do so instead, would your reaction change?

Now if it was another team other than the Dodgers and I posted that the game is over after the team went up 1-0 in the 5th, would you react the same of my post?

It is a good strategy to get into a bullpen. But the highest BA count in MLB occurs on first pitch strikes. Unless a batter is really good at working the count to get a walk, he is better off swinging at the first pitch if it is in the zone.

They might want to turn down the HP microphones now ... Victorino dropping the F bomb and I'm not sure what he said as he walked away.

Something I notice about Fox compared to TBS, besides the better PQ on TBS, is you can hear the audience better on TBS. Fox has the base pad mics on too loud.

That ball girl did a good job staying with that ball that bounced up and hit her in the face.

Sanchez is a K machine. But he has made close to 80 pitches through 4 innings.

Good base running? Infante almost injured himself with that last minute almost slide.

Yep that was some pretty poor base running that inning. Tigers should have gotten on the board but they blew it.
