2013 MLB Postseason

With that said, I would rather play at home, win or lose, than on the road, win or lose, knowing that my chances of winning are the same regardless of where I play. For that aspect of your argument, I do agree with you. That still does not provide an advantage to winning though.

Speaking for myself, this is all I was looking for. Hence my "everything being equal" scenario.

This should be a good game. I'll be pulling for Cleveland because they haven't been in a while. I am debating if I should go on a quick ride before the game and play commercial skip catchup like I have done with the last three games or just stay home and watch it live.

Born and raised 45 minutes from Pittsburgh, right across the Ohio line. So close in fact I work in Pittsburgh. October 14, 1992, the day the Pirates lost and tore my heart out for 20 years. I'm 28 years old, so I was 7 at the time of that game.

You may be wondering why and how I remember that date so fondly? My birthday is Oct 19 1984, I went to many many games with my grandfather. And he told me if the Pirates made the World Series we were going for my birthday. Needless to say that never happened. And my Pap has since passed.

But last night it felt like he was watching it with me. Born and raised a Bucs fan to the day I die.

LETS GO BUCS!!!

Sorry you didn't get to share that moment with your grandfather. When the Red Sox won the World Series for the first time in 86 years it was bittersweet for me. Many family members, including my dad and my grandparents were not there to share in the incredible joy when Keith Foulke fielded the ground ball that night in St. Louis. I'm sure your grandfather is enjoying his Pirates from the best seat in the house! :)

I'm rooting for Cleveland tonight because I'll always root for Tito......that is until he goes up against his old team! :)

WOW..............Salazar is dealin' so far!!!

Anyone else notice that you hear the ball hit the catchers mitt twice on TBS' audio feed?

Two runs closer to the most depressing words in baseball- playoff time at Tropicana Field.

The fanbase/stadium combination makes me root for the Rays to fail.

Cobb got that much needed DP turned by Loney, after Loney scored the second run.

Why can't the Dodgers draft a first baseman like Loney?

There were many years where Loney should have won a GG. He just never out up the offensive numbers to get the attention for his defense.

Cobb is doing a good job pitching out of jams in his first post season start. Must be that HFA. ;)

Rays are working magic.

They have been doing that all year. I give a lot of that magic credit to Madden. He does a good job of getting the most out of his players and has them play within their skill set.

Yep, because we all know a pitcher on the road has never pitched out of jams before. :o
