2013 MLB Postseason

Wow, that didn't take long.....

I just hope the MLB does the right thing next year and have the first game of the season be Red Sox ring/banner night.

Last 4 champs before this year opened on the road. Red Sox in 2005 opened AT YANKEE STADIUM! 2008- freaking Japan against Oakland.

AS long as it's ring/banner DAY. Opening Day should ALWAYS be Opening DAY.

World Series prediction- Red Sox in 6.....split the first 2 at Fenway....Sox take 2 out of 3 in St. Louis...and the Red Sox finally win it all in front of the home fans.

MVP- Xander Bogaerts - why? Because he's 21, and has ice water running through his veins!!
Props to Bill for getting the series prediction dead right!!! :up

We'll forgive you for the MVP call though.... ;)

Woke up this morning and realized that the Red sox were World Champions, and then realized there's no game tonight, or tomorrow, or any day for the next several cold and dark months!! Bittersweet to be sure!!
"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone."
-Bart Giamatti

Kudos to the Red Sox for waiting till the weekend to have their parade. Lately it seems the multimillionaires can't wait to get out of town and on vacation and hold their parade during the week to get it over with.

It appears that some are calling David Ortiz "Mr. October", a name that was given to Reggie Jackson and Reggie doesn't like it ...

My thoughts ?

W A H H H H H ....

Quit your crying mr jackson, that was about 40 years ago and Mr. Ortiz's numbers are BETTER than yours over about the same time frame.

Postseason numbers....

Thanks Cosmo, I couldn't do the formatting to get the stats to show correctly ... :(
