2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs

I'll tell you one thing, if tonight's game was played 16 years ago (in the air conditioned-less Boston Garden), there's NO WAY they would have been able to play with the heat and humidity that's currently here!

The old-timers just played in the slush...of course, they also ended the season in by May 1st. IMO you could pack the Boston Garden in dry ice and play the game in the fog. :)

I forget the year, but I was at one of those Celtics-Laker Finals game in the old Garden. Man was it hot in there.

The 1984 Game 5 was the famous (or infamous, depending on your perspective) game, when Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was seen on the sidelines with the oxygen mask. However, there were other muggy nights inside the Garden in '84, '85 and '87 for Lakers-Celtics.

So does Boston continue the stomping it administered Monday night or does Vancouver come back focused and determined? Offhand, the Canucks had 40-shots on goal the other night (Thomas played outstanding) while Luongo couldn't stop a puck if he had bricks & mortar. I am expecting another very competitive and close game this evening. Vancouver 2-1 over Boston.

We shall see...

Boston ties it up tonight !

Also Luongo just waited to long to get started with the brick and mortar, it was still soggy when the game started and they kicked the wall in rather easily !

You mean like DALLAS every year in the playoffs, 90+ and high humidity most nights ....
Always hate playing there ...

I don't know if Vancouver's powerplay has gotten that bad or if Boston's penalty kill has gotten that good.

I would give credit to the Bruins PK.

Penalty Killing is the toughest part of the game.

Kill Penalties and win faceoffs the two biggest parts of the game outside of the goaltending.

Yikes! It's been a massacre ever since the hit on Horton. Although the series is tied at 2-2 and the Canucks have the home ice advantage, they are on the ropes and taking a beating. It may be too late to stop Boston's momentum. We shall see...

Are you a Season Ticket Holder?

Did I miss anything when I was gone?
