2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Difference being, the Bruins have WON it before !!!

But not in my time. I was not alive when they won their last Cup.

Regardless of who wins this series, I can cross another team off my list of "Teams I never thought I would see win a championship in my lifetime.

We'll have both Coasts and both Countries represented in this year's Stanley Cup Final. Should be a great series!

This will be the Canucks third trip to the Stanley Cup Finals....their opponents: New York (Islanders), New York (Rangers) and now Boston. I guess they like to travel when they go deep in the playoffs!

Why did you edit my post, ..... to fit your statement ?

I said:
Obviously, no one from this team though.

Does NOTHING before you were born count for you ?

Thats a shame, as far as we know, the Red Wings have never won one since you were born ...

Damn! I wish I was on Causeway street right now.

Vancouver is a really good team. But, I don't think they are a Juggernaut team like the Oilers were in '88 & '90.

Bill, we are blessed to be fans of the teams in Boston/New England in this era. It is awesome! I never want it to end. My sons don't know what it was like before, our pain their gain.

I was just saying this to my 17 year old daughter. She's celebrated three Super Bowls, two World Series and an NBA Championship with me the last nine years. She thinks this is how it's always been.

Sure my dad got to see the Celtics dynasties of the 60's/70's/80's and the Bobby Orr Era, but he saw disappointment after disappointment with the Pats and especially the Red Sox. :(

BTW Hart, WHAT IF the Pats didn't lose to the Jets after having the best record in the NFL, the Celtics didn't trade Perk and Shaq stayed somewhat healthy? We could have been looking at playing for FOUR championships in 2011.

So, a team from Boston will be playing a championship series in June at TD Garden against a team from the Pacific Coast.

Sounds familiar, but instead of basketballs, this will involve pucks.

Vancouver shouldn't EVER be put in the same sentence as the Oilers teams you mentioned ....

Debbie Downer :LOL

Red Sox, Pats & Bruins are going to be at or near championship levels for the near future. So maybe if Danny has something up his sleeve, it could happen again.

He said they're NOT the juggernaut that the late 80's Oilers were.

For that matter, they're not the 70's Canadiens, 80's Islanders or even your Red Wings over the last 20 years.

Just heard this game was the first playoff game without a penalty called in 20 years. Hmmmm. :)

I agree with the Red Sox, Pats and Bruins.....they're all loaded with YOUNG talent. I'm hopeful the Celtics have one more run with this crew.

Are you a Season Ticket Holder?

Did I miss anything when I was gone?
