2011 MLB Playoffs

Even if the Yankees win, I dont know, it seems like they showed everyone they were nervous throughout the game. I say that because you pull Nova? Hughes? I mean that early? The Yankee offense isnt exactly the Royals. I mean they can score more than 2 runs. I just dont get it.
Also, if the Yankees do win, and they use Sabathia, Hughes, Nova, Mariano, Robertson etc. who pitches Saturday night? Who would be available? I wouldnt want to be down 1 or worse 2 games to 0 in the ALCS.

My thoughts exactly ...

And JV as we have heard for days will not be available for tonight

You know what I would love. If EVERYONE was told JV couldnt pitch and all of a sudden JV comes in and mows people down!! That would be sweet. Yeah, I know, it wont happen but I can dream.

Phew! Fister got out of a big inning. He's done! Hopefully Leyland brings in Scherzer to start the 5th because Fister's breaking ball is no longer breaking, he is no longer finding the strikezone, and he has thrown a lot of pitches.

Yes, his pitch count is around 80 at this point.

Happy Halloween Everyone!
