Nice 9th inning win...that's to Cabrera's 2 run HR. We almost blew it after Jackon led off with a triple and Kelly and Boesch whiffed. But a win is a win and we picked-up another game on the Indians. :)

HAve we all noticed that the Tigers are the BEST team out there when they NEED a run.
Last week they loaded the bases with no one out and could not score.
Tonight they did thier best to have a lead off TRIPLE and almost didn't score.

They are pathetic with RISP.

Cabrera, on the other hand is hitting almost .500 with RISP.

Kelly Popped out.

Yes, the Tigers picked up another game on the Indians, now trail by 3.5 ....

Are the Indians hearing footsteps ?

Tigers are 6-4
Indians are 3-7 in the last 10.

Hell, the Twins are 4-6 in the last 10, they are on a roll !

So, what chance do you think they have of getting Reyes at the trade deadline ?
I wonder if they are serious or not ...

I've always had a bad track record of trying to predict what's going to happen before the trading deadline. However, I will say the Tigers are a solid "near contender" so they look very attractive some veteran players who are trying to get to the World Series. I'm hoping they get a little help this year!

According to something I rad today this team is in so much debt they can't afford to go get someone else. Although the numbers I read didn't make sense I'd tend to agree.

The Tigers ?
Mr. Illitch will add to the team whenever he feels it will help, he's always been that way.
Started it with the Wings and came out a few years back and said when they needed another player, if they were close, he would go out and get someone.

I know about him and how he thinks. Not that's gotten them anywhere. I'm just telling you what i read here.

Indians' 5th inning looks a lot like a lot of Twins' innings from this year. Long way to go in this game.

For those that are having baseball withdrawls...
