2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs

:D:D:D

Can't even go to Weekend games anymore they don't start till the next day ......

Tonights game in SJ started at 8 pm, yet NEXT weekend's game (sat.) has to start at 10 pm, for some stupid reason the NHL lets them get away with it.

Because the Sun doesn't revolve around the earth and there are Americans (and Canadians) living west of Eastern Standard Time!

What did you watch ?
The Wings gave up 3 goals on the PP in game 1 as well as game 6 in phoenix.

But I referenced how they did well in games 2-5 against Phoenix, as well as game 7.

Aside from those games you mentioned, Detroit's penalty-kill was perfect in the other 5 games against the Coyotes.

Sharks-Wings is also the first series so far in which there has been a 2-0 series lead.

All 8 first-round series, and Habs-Pens right now, were tied 1-1 (Hawks-Canucks and Flyers-Bruins resume tomorrow)

Jimbo, Wozniak, riffjim, on a 1-10 scale (1 being cool and calm, 10 being red alert- no pun intended), how worried are you about this 0-2 deficit?

(BTW, I know nothing about coming back from something like this. My Sabres have NEVER overcome an 0-2 deficit to win a playoff series.)

As for tomorrow's games, I think Philly and Chicago wll tie their respective series.

Philly played valiantly in defeat, and the Blackhawks can't play any worse than they did Saturday.

The Sharks did what they were suppose to do, they played very well at home and won thier home games.
They have the momentum at this point, but they are suppose to hold serve in thier building.

If the Wings come out and win the next two games and even it up the way they are suppose to, the Wings will have the momentum going into game 5 (another 10 PM game) ....

Remember the old saying "It's not a series till a team wins on the road"

If the Wings lose game 3 I think it will be over for them this year and I'll move on to baseball for the summer, till the NFL gets back.
Otoh, if the Wings go on and win this round, we could be watching hockey into June once again .... at least those games won't start at 10 pm

Last night was just so frustrating because of the pathetic officials.

The Lakers are going to have a tough battle with the Jazz, but I think they can win the series.

LOL I can't believe I just read like 10 pages of guys complaining about officiating!

You guys are hysterical! The only post that made any sense is the guy who said if both teams are complaining, the officials are doing their jobs. There were barely a handful of posts that referred to the actual hockey being played.

NEWSFLASH - officials make mistakes to be sure, but bad calls always even out in the long run. If one team is called for more penalties than the other team...MAYBE THAT TEAM COMMITTED MORE PENALTIES!

The problem is people rarely mention (or even remember) calls that went for them, but they never forget calls that went against.

The game is won and lost by the teams...NOT THE OFFICIALS!

I agree and Coach Babcock said the same, Wings need to get ready for Game Three!

Would really liked to have the split in SJ. Wings just look tired, and are certainly being out skated, thus all the stupid penalties. They need to play smarter, and find some wheels. This is looking like a 7 game series, and if we survive, the next series will be done quickly, and not in our favor. This loss was certainly not on Howard. It's tough playing 3 on 5 all night.

The Sharks are 6-2 in the playoffs this year and the 2 games they lost they put the puck in their own net, Blake in Game 1 Rd 1 and Boyle own goal in game 3 RD 1.

If the wings look tired it's because they are.

Digital Dude's right.

The Sharks have only lost games because they were beaten by very bad bounces (if anything, they should have won game 3 long before the Boyle own goal. Colorado was outplayed in every way other than in goal)

I honestly don't know what games you guys just watched.

In game one, minus about 1:30, the Red Wings out played, outscored, and out muscled the Sharks.

I just can't believe you think in game 2, when a team is down a man, or even two men down, for almost a whole period, that you are "outplaying" the other team.

The Red Wings biggest problem, is they keep having to climb up hill. Playing from behind, playing a man down.

First game they did it to themselves. This game the refs did it to them, and finally the crap just started rolling back on top of them.

So don't think for one second these Sharks are all that much better then the Wings.

Zetterberg, takes a punch to the face and keeps on rolling, Setaguchi, takes a stick to the chest and falls forward like he was knifed in the back. There's a clear difference between these two players. I think it speaks about their respective teams, the problem is so far it hasn't translated into wins for the Red Wings.

Sometimes the good guys win, and then there's now.

Bruins WIN and are up 2-0!!!

I don't want to jinx this, but it's starting to have a 2001 Pats feel to this postseason! :)
