2010 NFL Draft

Kiper's latest draft mock is out... includes the Browns taking WR Dez Bryant and the Raiders taking Clausen, heh.

Edit: what do they know though, a bunch of people just twittered that the Raiders were very impressed with Tebow...

I think the Browns learned that taking a WR in the top 10 is too much of a risk to consider it.

If Eric Berry's at #7, I'm confident we'll take him.

Browns Remove Dez Bryant From Draft Board

Not to tell Mel Kiper Jr. I told him so, but I kinda did....

A source close to the Browns confirmed to SI's Peter King that Oklahoma State WR Dez Bryant is "no longer on our list."

This second an earlier report from Terry Pluto of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. The Browns have been trying to rid their locker room of any cancers (they're the anti-Jets) and questions about Bryant's character have apparently ruled him out. The Browns also have a ton of holes on defense to fill with the No. 7 overall pick.

Judging by his pro day, Clausen could be the next big 1st round bust.

I agree with you on that.

Can't believe Clausen already has an edorsment deal with Burger King.

Q: Hypothetically speaking, let's say Safeties Eric Berry & Earl Thomas are there at #7 for my Browns to chose. Which one do we select?

Berry, a good OT, or a good DT are all going to be available at 7.

Clausen too.

Can't wait for the draft, just hate that it starts at 4:30pm PST on Thursday night, people on the west coast will be at work/driving home when it starts, very lame. Can't even have people over for the 2nd and 3rd round because it starts at 3pm PST so nobody will be off work if they work on Fridays.

Thank God I get off at 3:30 pm EST! As for the 2nd & 3rd rounds, who will be carrying the radio feed? Sirius NFL I presume?

How about this...

Berry at #7 and Colt McCoy in the 2nd (38th)? I'd be more than happy if that scenario happened...

I'm warming up to Colt McCoy!

If he had a choice on which team will draft him, Texas quarterback Colt McCoy would pick the Browns, McCoy said Monday in a radio interview with 790 The Zone in Atlanta....

"Once I get done with these trips, I have really enjoyed and I absolutely enjoyed Coach Holmgren," McCoy said of Browns president Mike Holmgren. "He is a class act and I could definitely see myself playing in their organization. I think that it would be a tremendous opportunity and they have a lot of good things going for them and Coach (Eric) Mangini and their staff has been awesome.

Asked by the radio station whom he would compare himself to in the NFL, McCoy said,
"It is funny. I just left the Browns and Coach Holmgren kind of compared me to Steve Young and Joe Montana and just said that I have the intangibles that I have at this point in their career when they were coming out of college. He expects me to be just like they were.

Did Holmgren tip his hat? I'm really hoping McCoy drops to us at #38!!!

Stevo, I see 1 team ahead of my Browns who could take Eric Berry.... your KC Chiefs. What are your expectations of the Chiefs 1st round pick?

T/DT or Berry, or trade down. 3 picks in the top 50 of a very deep draft, should be a good draft either way. Probably see their pick on my droid mounted on my windshield as I drive home.

Pioli specifically said he doesn't like taking Safety in the top 5 a month or two ago, that screams smokescreen though.
