2010 NBA Playoffs

Watching the Celtics/Cavs game, and while I have no rooting intrest, watching the crowd get in to it, makes me miss playoff basketball around here :(

CAVS STINK!!!! Unfortunately as Lebron goes, so goes the whole team. Maybe they should let him go elsewhere and try to build a team that does not totally depend on just one player.

What a performance by Rondo!!! Good to see a former UK player do good in the NBA.
His performance today of 29pts, 18 rebounds, 13 assists has to be one of the best by a guard in a long time especially since he is only 6foot 1 inches tall.

Unbelievable performance!!!

I've seen a lot of great Celtics playoff performances (my viewing goes back to 1974...........which encompasses 6 Celtics championships), and Rondo's performance is right up there with Larry Bird, John Havlicek, Dennis Johnson, et al.

Yup, the Garden was rockin' today! :up

But it will pale in comparison to the Flyers-Bruins game at the Garden tomorrow night! :)

I think Tony Allen just increased his value on the free agent market by, oh, maybe $10 to $20 million dollars or so today. He can't shoot from outside, but he can be someone else's nice third guard.

Code:
Player MIN FGM-A 3PM-A FTM-A OR DR REB AST STL BLK TO PF +/- PTS

Paul Pierce 31 3-8 0-2 3-3 1 1 2 2 1 0 2 5 +10 9
Tony Allen 26 6-7 0-1 3-6 1 4 5 1 2 1 2 3 +14 15

lebron didn't shake hands last year because he's a winner
tim duncan might be the best winner of this generation
tim duncan hugged a rival(nash) after being swept

a true winner right there, not a sore loser like LeBawww

Game 4 Recap: Celts over Cavs

As great as LeBron was in Game 3, Rajon Rondo was even better in Game 4. I've said at the begining of this series that our #1 weakness is defending a premier point guard. We just don't have any answer and it's aggravating. It was proven in the first series when Derrick Rose killed us. Now, it's Rondo. Following the post game press conference, LeBron had a suggestion....

LeBron said him guarding Rondo is something the Cavs should "explore."

At this point, I would not be against this at all. Even if it means LeBron's offensive game suffers.

As for the game itself, we closed it to within 2 points heading into the 4th quarter and as great of a game that Rondo was having, we could've still won this game. But we didn't. The primary reasons were turnovers, missed rebounds & missed second chance opportunities in the 4th quarter. You can't turn the ball over like that in the 4th quarter and on the road and expect to win.

We had 5 turnovers in the 4th quarter alone. The Celtics outscored us 13-0 in second chance opportunities, solely from offensive rebounds. On a positive note, I am not as worried following this game as I was after game 2. These mistakes can and should be corrected.

This is turning into quite the series. At last we have a good semi-final since all the rest are stinkers!

See you Tuesday at the Q!

Disagree greatly.

Look, I know with the overblown media and fair-weather fan reaction following each dramatic win or loss it's easy to overreact, but the fact of the matter is that we have a very good team. If you've seen the way this team has played over the last few years, this would be evident. We're the anti Atlanta Hawks if you will. Sure LeBron makes our "good" team "great" and we'll need his best effort to win, but that's the case with any other successful NBA team. When was the last time an NBA team had success WITHOUT a true star?

This would be completely falling into a trap in my opinion. Now you are depending on the REST of the CAVS to trying to outplay the REST of the CELTICS including their "other" players in KG, Allen and Pierce.....NOBODY has a '2nd teir' core to match that. So truth be told, they are better off sticking to the currect game plan because if they decide dedicate their best defensive player and give up their offense.....they could be in deep trouble.

Oh, one more thing. I'm sick of Shaq. As an offensive threat, he's absolutely worthless. I don't get why we continue in trying to force-feed him time and time again. It's a waste of possession.

We got Shaq for two teams. Orlando and LA. At this point in his career, he's nothing more than a body to defend against other power centers. I'd rather see Big-Z get his minutes. At least he would help rebound, make outside shots and is a way better free throw shooter.
