2010-11 NHL Hockey Season

Have you heard something about the NHL looking into changing this ?

The problem with the current OT scenario is the time frame, 5 minutes they barely get into the flow of what going on, needs to be AT LEAST 10 minute OT for starters. The way it is now it's 4-4 and I'm fine with that.

If you really want to start changing things, how about after the 10 minute OT that I mentioned, if that doesn't end it, lets keep the game of hockey in the game and go to a Power Play, 1 for each team, if it's still tied after that, then well consider a Shootout.

There is no way you get the NHLPA to agree to all that, especially with Donald Fehr taking over.

How about the start for Tim Thomas?

Thomas is 5-0 with a 0.60 goals against, .981 save percentage and two shutouts already!

And remember, Thomas is supposed to be the Bruins backup goalie. Tuukka Rask is 0-2, but in all fairness has been battling an injury.

Thomas is looking like the All-World goalie from two years ago.

He is, and last season he was battling an undisclosed hip injury that was surgically repaired in the offseason. However, make no mistake, Rask is the goalie for the future.

The Bruins now have the luxury of having two #1 netminders!

Crazy Schedule

I noticed Chicago is in first place atop the Western Conference Central Division. However, after further review they have played four more games more than the rest of the division so early in the season. Heck, Chicago could very well be in last place once everyone catches up in games played. I just though this very odd since San Jose has only played 8 games.

Chicago 13 7 5 1 15
St. Louis 9 6 1 2 14
Detroit 9 6 2 1 13
Nashville 10 5 2 3 13
Columbus 9 6 3 0 12
