2010-11 NFL Season

Here's another, a sure sign that parity is upon us:

This season is the first in 50 years where there are no undefeated or one-loss teams through week 9.

I've watched a lot of NFL this season, I'm not so sure it's parity or parody. Never before have I seen so much BAD football being played by so many teams. Take the usual suspects (start with the Lions, Bills, etc...) and now add Dallas, Minnesota, San Diego, Houston, San Francisco (These teams were supposed to be contenders). The number of penalties in an average game has to be way over last season. At least it feels that way.

Oh, I'm eating crow here Matt. I really am. Congratulations! What does it feel like? I'm afraid I'll spend my whole life without knowing. I have so far.

Thanks buddy. Winning is fun! I don't have much experience with it myself. That's why you saw Gatorade baths, chest bumping, high fiving and Mangini smiling. Those things are usually reserved for playoff wins. Not in Cleveland! ANY win is cause for celebration! We partied until the wee hours Sunday! You should see the papers and hear the local radio! We're going bat sh*t crazy over 2 wins! LOL!

It makes you think these guys are thinking about not playing next year, already....

And this is why the NFL is prospering while the MLB is in the commode. Every team has a shot on any given Sunday.

Then again, only in baseball did a team that had filed for bankruptcy outbid the richest team in professional sports for one of the best pitchers in the sport...then use that guy to beat the rich team. ;)

NFL fines ONLY $50,000 for THAT hit??!!

This guys should have been suspended for the year!!! The ball was WAY past the WR the WR had taken ALREADY 2 or 3 steps and was falling down and THEN this dude hit him...you cannot get MORE flagrant that this hit.:rant::mad::mad:

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The NFL fined Green Bay Packers safety Nick Collins $50,000 on Monday for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Roy Williams.

In a statement, league officials said Collins "violently and unnecessarily struck a defenseless receiver" in the neck and head area with his helmet during Sunday night's game at Lambeau Field and called it a "flagrant violation of player safety rules."

NFL executive vice president of football operations Ray Anderson told Collins that further offenses "will result in an escalation of fines up to and including suspension."

The NFL is cracking down on illegal hits, and players who violate the rules are subject to increased fines or even suspensions.

Collins went helmet-to-helmet with Williams after an incompletion in the third quarter of the Packers' 45-7 victory over the Cowboys on Sunday night. Collins was flagged for unnecessary roughness.

Speaking of Akransas Running backs, did you know Felix Jones, Darren McFadden AND Peyton Hillis all shared the backfield during their tenure with the Razorbacks? Wow!!!

They used the "wildcat" more than any college OR pro team when they had them all. They called, if I am not mistaken, the "wildhog" and mostly used when it was Felix Jones and McFadden...

Man, the Steeler's are losing players left and right on the O line and the D line ....

On the O line they are down two guys, 1 other guy just got back from injury.

They lose Aaron Smith on the D* line a few weeks ago and now Harrison is down.....

Well the officials got thier pay at halftime ...

They are doing EVERYTHING they can to get the Bengals back in this game.

A PERFECT form tackle of Carson Palmer and it's a 15 yard penalty ...
Then a PI call an easy 15 seconds after the play into the endzone.

Two of the worst calls you'll ever want to see! And where was the announcers indignation on those two poor calls?

This may be my last year watching Pro football.

Your not allowed to hit anymore, you can't tackle anymore...
May as well put tutu's on them ....

EVERYTHING the NFL is doing is once again to make the OFFENSE easier to run.
Absolutely Pathetic.

Welcome to the NFL, the we'll throw a flag if your within a foot of the QB.

BY the way, why are the calls not called when everyone is draped on Big Ben ?
Palmer gets breathed on and its a penalty.

Damn, I wanted to see them drive down the field and run the clock out and score 7.

Don't know what it is about the Bengals, but the last year and a half, they have given the Steeler's a lot of trouble.

Steelers hold off Cincy's rally (good effort by the Bengals in the 4th, but those two missed field goals were costly).

The Pittsburgh/New England game next Sunday night could have potentially HUGE AFC playoff implications.

Pittsburgh, Baltimore, New England and the Jets are all 6-2 in thew AFC.

The New York Football Giants are the only team in the NFC at 6-2.
Correction, the Falcons are as well.

Don't look now....

...but guess who has the BEST QB rating in the entire NFL, none other than SUPPOSEDLY "overrated" Michael Vick. When the Eagles make the playoffs, Michael Vick HAS TO BE considered the favorite for NFL MVP. Darren McFadden lead the NFL in YPG at 108 and change. And that is with 20 less carries than the top 3, Peterson(MIN), Bradshaw(NYG) and Foster(HOU).
