2010-11 NBA PLAYOFFS

Chris Paul! Damn you...LOL! Either the Hornets weren't as bad as people thought or the Lakers are not as good as people think!

they were 46-36, by no means a bad team. chris paul is showing he's the best PG in the league

btw, Kobe's ankle turn was nasty

You know, I thought that IF Manu played....they were a much better team than Memphis. Well, Manu has played and I am not sure that the Spurs ARE a better team. Memphis is just not afraid of the Spurs. The Spurs were 2-1 in the regular season and both of those Spurs wins were by a combined 6 points. Aren't the Gizz missing Rudy Gay? WOW....

Memphis is impressive...can you imagine a Grizzlies-Thunder second round matchup? It's VERY possible.

That being said, I'm a little surprised that the huge Blazers-Mavs game 5 has been relegated to NBA-TV. I thought Memphis-SA would have been tossed to NBA-TV. Not only is Portland-Dallas a "sexier" matchup, it's a much bigger game.

IF Dallas does not make past this round...they will continue their legacy of not having enough to get over the hump.

The NBA media is hilarious. A few days ago, the media more or less stated the Celtics had no chance of getting by the HEAT in the 2nd round. Suddenly, there is no chance the HEAT will get by the Celtics in the 2nd round. Amazing how two 3-points suddenly "changes momentum" in a playoff series that has yet to be played.

They should wait until the matchup is set before they start talking about it anyway. A little premature at the moment.

NOW....even the Bulls are no longer the favorite. The Celtics did what they were supposed to do, sweep an injured, depleted team.

I wouldn't get all hung up on what the media says, or who they make the favorite. Games are decided on the court, not on a website.

From here on, the Celtics will only go as far as Shaq's legs will take them. The Celtics were able to get Jermaine for the mid-level exception and Shaq and Delonte West for the veteran minimums because having their Big Three for one more go-round made Boston a desiable destination. The Knicks had and still have enough cap room to take on all three of those contracts even without utilizing exceptions., but they just didn't look all that appealing to veterans at the start of last season. How would the Celtics have fared against the Knicks if those players had chosen to sign with the Knicks for a few dollars more instead? As soon as the present Big Three is pronounced dead, Boston will become a doormat like they were for most of the decade before McHale chose them to be the winners of the Kevin Garnett give-away.
