2010-11 NBA PLAYOFFS

Van Gundy just suggested that the Heat might want to look into breaking up the Miami Thrice to trade for Dwight Howard! LMAO!!!!

Now, that team could quite possibly be unstopple.

On a side note, no one can really say what will happen until a new CBA or possible lockout is over. If the NBA gets a hard cap, like they want, teams like the Heat and Celtics are effed. 3 guys taking up all the cap, no more mid-level or Larry Bird exception. Could be ugly.

It's no secret that we've been very fortunate with our sports teams here in Boston, but what about Dallas?

The Stars won a Stanley Cup decade or so ago, the Rangers are the defending AL Champions, the Cowboys (even though they've struggled recently) have a very successful history and now the Mavericks are NBA Champions!

MONEY DOESN'T BUY CHAMPIONSHIP.
Boston big 3 won it all their first year.

Nice try James,Wade,Bosh.

Its funny how they all kinda gave up at the 3 minute mark.

Spoelstra will need to start looking for a new job stat. No way the Diva's take the fall for this one. (roll eyes).

Spolestra has some blame. When the Mavs went into the zone, it is HIS JOB, not the players, to come up with a plan to counter....and he could not. But in the grand scheme of things, he did a very good job in handling the egos and getting the Miami's big 3 to buy into the Heat defensive system.

Funny you mentioned that since they all GAVE UP MONEY to sign with Miami. The Heat organization had the room in the cap, they did not steal it, they had the room and did it well within the rules. Dallas, as well as the NBA tried to do the exact same thing.

If you are a Mavs fans, congrats and enjoy it with class.

Dallas Wins! A Few Thoughts.....

1. Dear Miami, Feel free to celebrate Lebron Appreciation Day today by leaving work today 12 minutes early. :D

2. "LeBron is going to do what's best for LeBron".... and take his disappearing act to South Beach. :D

3. Earlier last week, Pippen said LeBron is better than Jordan. In other news, Pippen checks back into the mental institution he escaped from. :)

4. Interesting stat from last night: In 8 minutes with LeBron on the bench in Game 6, the Heat scored 21 points and outscored the Mavs by 14. When James was on the court, Miami was outscored by 24.

5. Another interesting stat: Dirk Nowitski led all players with 62 fourth-quarter points in the NBA Finals, matching the total of Dwyane Wade and LeBron James combined.

6. Before Game 5, LeBron said it was "now or never". 2 consecutive losses later, are we to believe it's "never"??

7. Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports wrote a good column saying that "LeBron James will win a title someday, but he'll never feel the purity of Dirk Nowitzki's championship moment." That is so very true. This win symbolizes a victory for perseverance and staying the course. It also proves that to win an NBA Championship, you DON'T need to ride the coat-tails of another superstar to do so. A TEAM is much more important than the two superstar recipe.

8. Following the Chicago series, what if I told you that LeBron would only average less than 3 points per 4th quarter in the NBA Championship series? Pretty crazy huh. Jon Barry on LeBron James: "Something is wrong and it's in between the ears.''

9. To those who think the Heat will be back next year to avenge their loss. Great. Guess what though? The Mavs just layed out the blueprint of success to beat the Super Friends.... The Zone Defense. Since LeBron never went to college, he has no experience countering the Zone Defense. Lesson learned: Stay in school kids!

10. Congratulations Dallas. Your win defines "TEAM". When another player was struggling (Dirk), another one stepped up (Jason Terry). When the going got tough on the road, your defense held ground. You dove for the loose balls, fought for the rebounds, out-hearted, out-hustled and out-classed your opponent. Last night, fundamentals, heart and team play trumped selfishness and arrogance. Make no mistake about it, this is a good thing for the NBA. Congrats Dallas!! You deserve this!!!!

I wonder how this quote from LBJ after the game sounds to the Heat fans:

“All the people that were rooting me on to fail, at the end of the day they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life they had before,” James said. “They have the same personal problems they had to today. I’m going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want with me and my family and be happy with that.”

You do have class Rey, unlike Lebron James, who has none.

I can't imagine what it's like having to root for that a-hole, because he puts my teams Jersey on. It would be tough. And as you've seen by the "mocking Dirk" video he has seemed to drag Dwade down to his douchebagery level.

I will respond to most my friend. Amazing how it if weren't Lebron, they would not have gotten to the Finals in the 1st place. ;-)

Ditto. This has nothing to do with Rey and everything to do with exposing the unlikeability that is LeBron. Did anyone else see how LeBron stormed off the court following the final buzzer while Wade stayed around to congratulate everyone, even in defeat?

What about all those Mavs fans in the buidling last night?? Especially the block behind the Mavs bench.

They mentioned last night that Pat Riley and Mickey Arison were not pleased. Looks like a few season-ticket holders may find their accounts terminated....

Contending is fine. But your Prince, who along with Wade and Bosh went on national TV, on a hydraulic lifted stage with pyrotechnics to announce his arrival to the world and promised a Dynasty. 5, 6, 7 Championships.

Good to see TEAM conquered 3 superstars last night. A team is more than 3 players. Maybe Miami will realize this now.
