Almost forgot ;)

I was kidding Ramy. I know the difference between semantics and anti-semitic. Sort of an alliterative double-entendre'. I'll leave out the definition.

I just left out the ;). I thought you were  at ;). But now that I know you are :up with ;) I will definitely stop :dead.

:deal:?

I was going to check the "sanity clause" in the "Terms of Use" agreement here to see if it covers this, but then member Chico reminded me that, "There's a no such thing as a Sanity Clause"

High School girl, on way to graduation, makes sarcastic remark, which her obtuse boyfriend takes literally.

High School girl, miffed, says, "I was beng ironic"

George Wendt replies, "Actually, you were being sarcastic. What's ironic is, you're about to graduate from high school even though you don't know the difference."

Those eight sided morons are the worst kind.

True story...we're at Cedar Point amusement park in Ohio a few years ago. My niece is I guess about 6-7 at the time, and we're waiting for my brother and my nephew to get out of the bathroom, because we're all going on the same ride.

And we're waiting...and waiting...I said something to her like 'I think they must have moved into the bathroom'.

And she says 'only homos live in bathrooms, right Aunt Sandy?'. Skinny little girl say what???

I was mortified...until I realized she meant 'hobos'....

This coming from the same poster that has dissed both the Spurs and Red Wings MANY times over the years. At least those teams have won something.....MULTIPLE times in fact.

Also, I find it funny that I didn't "disrespect" the Bulls, the team with the best record in the regular season (something that you reminded me of earlier in this thread). Perhaps it's because you picked the Mavs to win it all (something that you've pointed out ad nauseum ).

BTW, it's MY OPINION that OKC matches up better with Miami than Dallas does. That doesn't make it FACT.

Good points made. I overreacted to what you initially said.

Well...good feisty win by the Bulls at home, but Atlanta is not gonna go away quitely. I still think they can pull it off, but I honestly think this will go 7 games. The Bulls defense is AMAZING, but the offense is way too one dimensional...it's basically Rose and a prayer. Alot like the last few years Cavs and the early Michael Jordan days.

How many times are you going to use that comparison?

let me say one difference i see in those cavs and this years bulls. and tell me if i'm wrong my friend. the bulls have a much better defense than those teams did with le-drama. no? many folks are making that same comparison. and if miami wins tonight to advance, many are saying that because of the reasons already mentioned ,the heat is pretty much guaranteed to make it to the finals. honestly i like our chances if we advance to the semifinals. but the bulls can play some smothering defense! its not going to be easy as some think. much less will i say a guarantee that miami will beat the bulls as a few on espn have said.

I wouldn't say "much better". Those Cavs actually did play very good defense. That's how they got so far with the team they had. Mike Brown was a defense specialist. It was the only way that team won. They had LeBron and a bunch of role players. The problem and the reason we didn't get over the hump was the problem on offense. We didn't have anyone to go to after LeBron.

Your comparison is certainly valid. My thing is, I don't think anyone is challenging you on it though, so I'm not sure who you're trying to prove right? Are you arguing with yourself?

Nope at all. You had an issue with comparison..and I don't know of any better or closer comparison. If someone can come up with better one, I have no issues with looking into it.

These NBA playoffs have been where anything can happen.

The Lakers/Spurs are out, ensuring only the second time since 1999 neither of those teams is in the NBA Finals.

An 8 seed taking out a.1 seed for the fourth time ever

Atlanta over Orlando, which most people did not think would happen.

Dallas brooming the perennial power Lakers

These NBA playoffs have been truly fascinating to watch.

Wednesday's Playoff Schedule

Memphis at Oklahoma City- 9:30pm ET (TNT)- series tied 2-2

Interesting 1st half...2 players have established themselves tonight. Wade and KG, but KG SHOULD HAVE gotten a tech for the elbo he threw to Wade when he tried to get through his high screen.

Did it cause Wade to break his elbow? No. Wade deserves to have his nose broken by any Celtic for what he did to Rondo.

I miss the days of guys like Kevin McHale dishing out justice to punks like Wade.
