2010-11 NBA PLAYOFFS

Don't really know how Boston lost that game.:pissed. Props to the Heat

Not only did Garrett have a terrible shooting night, he had a brain fart on the last possession and missed the screen leaving Pierce to take the 20 ft fade away. Than they were just gassed in OT.

Rondo was not even close to being himself with the busted elbow.

In the 4th quarter, the Celtics looked old. I thought Rondo was more detrimental than helpful midway through the 4th quarter and it should of been West and/or Green.

Bosh totally outplayed KG in the game and showed some grit in the 2nd half after being timid in the 1st half. And it was defense once again that made this game. Boston is in trouble. KG's AND Ray Allen's inconsistency has been tough to over come. You could say, that was due to Miami's defense.
yep. if bosh doesn't finally show up last night, miami loses for sure.

I have to admit I was dead wrong on the Perkins trade. It has cost the Celtics a chance at an NBA title in 2011.

I thought Jeff Green was better than he has been, he sucks. Krystic is a typical soft Euro who has no business playing in the middle.

Perkins, T. Allen and Nate might have lifted banner #18. But we never got the chance to find out.

Danny killed Ubuntu.

For the love of all that is holy...what on earth was Boston doing on that last possession of regulation? And Kevin Garnett in particular?

Game tied, 19 seconds left, Celtic ball. The team with three legitimate weapons, even when Garnett is 1 for 10 during the game. Pierce dribbles the clock down to 10 seconds far from the basket. Fine.

Then Garnett comes up to the elbow, and starts acting like he's lost his mind. He runs toward Pierce. He runs back to the elbow. He starts running back toward Pierce again, but bumps into Ray Allen. Pierce, looking around for his pick, just keeps drbbling down to one second, and launches a prayer that should have been blocked in the first place.

Quite possibly the most bizarre play by a very smart team that I have seen in a very long time. No excuse...that was their chance, and they could not even begin to execute. My nephew's U-16 AAU team could have had a better possession.

The Celtics went 33-10 without Perkins at the start of the season, and then 7-4 with him before he was traded. What has hurt the Celtics most is the injury to Shaq. If a healthy Shaq was worth even one point in regulation last night, then this series woud be tied at 2-2. In fact, if Shaq had been able to play even ten minutes a game down the stretch, Boston would have home court in this series as well.

You can't have your cake and eat it to. The Celtics traded Perkins for Jeff Green AND the Clippers 2012 first round draft pick. I don't know if it is protected or not, but I expect a Clippers pick to at least be in the top ten, and probably better than that. When the Celtics try to acquire one more established player with younger legs for next years final "Big-Three" run, that draft pick will be worth a lot more than their own, 25th or so pick.

Great post. I was not aware of a lot of this.

The Clippers must not like draft picks, because they traded the Cavs their first round pick in 2011 (and Baron Davis) to the Cavs this past year. Meaning, they won't have a first round pick of their own until 2013!!!

Way to disrespect the Mavs.

This coming from the same poster that has dissed both the Spurs and Red Wings MANY times over the years. At least those teams have won something.....MULTIPLE times in fact.

Also, I find it funny that I didn't "disrespect" the Bulls, the team with the best record in the regular season (something that you reminded me of earlier in this thread). Perhaps it's because you picked the Mavs to win it all (something that you've pointed out ad nauseum ).

BTW, it's MY OPINION that OKC matches up better with Miami than Dallas does. That doesn't make it FACT.

Pop Quiz: "Name the only game in baseball history where every player on a team went into a regulation nine-inning game and came out of it with the same batting average?” Answer: Bob Feller's Opening Day no-hitter against the White Sox in 1940.
Not so. At the start of the game, the players didn't have batting averages, as division by zero is "undefined".

The question therefore should be, ""Name the only game in baseball history where every player on a team came out of a regulation nine-inning game with the same batting average after his last at-bat that he had after his first at-bat."
