It's all about goal tending at this time of year. Crystal Ball Huet was outstanding last night, how he made the pad save, I'll never know. Must have looked into his crystal ball and saw it coming.
This was the best hockey game I have seen in a long time. This game had it all. That little bit of PK Helm did in the 3rd period is the stuff legends are made of. He killed almost a minute by himself, collecting two shots on goal along the way. It was fitting that he scored the winner.
The BH's played harder than I expected them too. But there still gone in 5 games, and the Wing's dispatched them without two of the top ten players in the league. (Lidstrom and Datsyuk). I would like to give a hand to the players that stepped up along the way - Helm, Applicator (or Abdicator, Agitator, whatever the hell his name is), Ericcson (he had an emergency appendectomy yesterday afternoon, and still made it to the game. Hockey players are tough!), and of course Cleary, who the Wings salvaged from the junk pile, and has made the most of his opportunity.
Now, bring the rematch!

I would say the Detroit / Chicago matchup has alot to do with this, and the whole story of the blackhawks rebuilding and re branding the whole franchise in 2 seasons is amazing. Just think of it this time 3 years ago, you couldnt catch a home game for the blackhawks on tv. Now you have just about everygame on in hd, with a team that is one of the best in the legue.
My goal is to shave this damm playoff beard after the Chicago Blackhawks raise the cup over thier head!

This series is truly a toss-up. Pittsburgh has been playing unbelievable hockey for the last 3 months. It's very hard to repeat, maybe even harder to do against a team you just played last year.
