2009 NBA Playoffs

Orlando wins game 6- which I did NOT see coming- to force a game 7.

That's why i mentioned earlier today that i wasn't sure about the celtics closing out this one tonight. i did say the rockets would lose tonight. even though it is very early,so far houston is putting it on LA. they are dominating the paint right now! lets see how much more i can watch of this game since i have to be up by 5am.

Man the Lakers have no heart. They are a bunch of bitches. Houston barely has enough guys to put on the floor and are coming off a 40 point whipping and the Lakers can't be bothered to finish them off. This is why I generally don't like the NBA. Too many teams with that attitude of play hard only when they feel like it.

Let me guess- the Rockets are all that's right with the world.
Not really. It's just that a team with as much talent as the Lakers have sure leaves a lot to be desired in the effort dept. Boston lost too tonight, but they play their asses off no matter what. I guess the Lakers are like everything else in Hollywood: fake and too good to be true.

For as many times as some have counted the Magic out, they force a game 7. And don't think for one second that the game IN BOSTON is as sure thing by the Celtics either. Same could be said about the Rockets....they are in a worse situation than the Celtics. AT LEAST the Celtics still have Pierce and Allen....what does Houston have? Really.....

Why is it that you call anyone or any team quitters if they live up to you expectations? YOUR Tar Heels are usually picked in the top 5 almost every year....last year, because they didn't win it all, did you call THEM quitters?

I think he was referring to the lopsided margins at points in this series.

The Rockets force a game 7.

IMO, most of America will be pulling for Houston- everyone loves an underdog.

I will not be shocked if Houston wins- this franchise thrives on pressure situations (see their 1981, 1994, and 1995 NBA Finals teams)

Thank you. That and the fact that Lamar Odom had 8 points and Bynum had 0, REALLY, yet Houston is without Yao Ming. Way to show up guys. Seriously.

The NBA. Where mailing it in happens.

Getting down 21-3 to start the game says all you need to know.

I have always found this interesting....I am gonna ask you something. I am being very serious here. Have YOU either played professional sports or know ENOUGH professional athletes that have TOLD you that either THEY quit, their TEAMMATES quit or THE OTHER TEAM quit?

And, again, you never answered my previous question....in ALL those years that YOUR Tar Heels were favored to advance in ANY KIND of tournament...and they, ON PAPER, had a better team....and lost....did you THINK they quit....did you call THEM quitters...or did you chalk it up to "the underdog having his day"?

First off I've got nothing against the Rockets. They are playing great in spite of being shorthanded. My problem is that the Lakers play uninspired basketball. They think they can turn it on when they feel like it. Beating a hobbled Rockets team should be like taking candy from a baby right now.

The Lakers, though, are soft. They don't play hard all the time. It's not so much quitting it's not competing. It's the let's leave guys wide open for three and hope they miss. It's when they do miss and a 7 footer stands there picking his nose while someone else out hustles him for the rebound and puts it back in. You can't tell me that the Lakers gave a good effort tonight. They played like they had a game to burn.

As for whether I've questioned UNC in the past, I don't know how it's relevant, but I sure have. Fortunately Roy Williams gets the most out of his guys so they don't lose often and when they do it's usually not due to lack of effort. But not every Carolina team has played that way.

The thing with the Lakers is they have all the talent in the world and they have experience too. They're playing a team that resembles a broken down old truck yet they are forced into a 7th game because they refuse to compete game in and game out. Maybe Phil Jackson needs to knock off the zen buddha meditation crap and give these guys a good old fashioned Boby Knight style ass chewing.

Ron Artest, Shane Battier, Aaron Brooks and one of the most underrated forwards in the league in Luis Scola.

With that said, no way in hell the Lakers lose Game 7. Home court in the NBA Playoffs is HUGE!

Honestly, as a Cavs fan I'm enjoying the hell out of these playoffs. It's so relaxing knowing your team took care of business early and is resting at home while the other teams still alive are beating the hell out of eachother in grueling 7 game series'.

On the other hand, I want a part of the action too. Wednesday can't come soon enough. The Q has a ton of pent up energy. I can't wait!!
