2009 Men's NCAA Basketball Tournament

Final Four Predictions:

UConn over Michigan St. in a nail-biter: Huskies 73, Spartans 70

UNC over Villanova comfortably: Tar Heels 89, Wildcats 73

Championship Game:

UNC pulls away from UConn in the last five to seven minutes: Tar Heels 92, Huskies 81

I would love to see MSU Vs. Nova.

A Big Ten will play for the national title (I did not pick the Spartans in my bracket- I thought they were overrated and am not fond of the home-court advantage (This goes against the tradition of Final Four court neutrality, something I believe in), but I'm trying to keep my mouth shut and not dig myself into a deep hole).

Given how the conference has had a tendency to lose or flop on the big stage in big bowl games or past NCAA tournaments, Michigan State is, IMO, the conference's best chance to restore some pride.

Paul,
I realize that you're at Ford Ford, but congratulations buddy!!! :)

Your Spartans are in the NC game, and they absolutely, positively deserve it!!! :up

Enjoy it my friend!! :D

But they needed home-court advantage.

In a way, David only did so because Goliath had an unfair advantage.

Who really cares. There is always going to be a team that has the possibility to have home court advantage in the NCAA tourney. They beat a #1 seed to get there and then beat another to make it to the finals.

Do you EVER quit?

Dude, I wasn't trying to trash the Spartans.

Let me explain what I meant:

the Big 10 has been known for postseason flops (recent BCS troubles, for instance) and that the Spartans have an opportunity to restore some pride for a conference that has taken some shots from the newspaper and some sports fans.

During the bowl season, the Big Ten took a lot of heat for their poor record. This season, a lot of people were critical off Big Ten basketball.

This is a chance to shut those critics up.

I NEVER said anything blatant against them; what I said was that this is an opportunity for the Big Ten to get the monkey off their back.

The Spartans have a chance to shut up Big 10 critics; what's so negative about that?

Jag, don't let Mr. Debbie Downer take this great moment away from you.

If North Carolina wins their game against Villanova, the Spartans will have a chance to join the 1997 Arizona Wildcats as the only other team to beat 3 #1 seeds in oe tournament.
