2009 Men's NCAA Basketball Tournament

I attended the East Regionals at the Garden last night.

Electric atmosphere, but I have to say this, Duke put in one of the worst performances I've ever seen.

I was wondering where you were last night. I'll assume that you put the hex on dook. :up

BTW Bill did you see the dook fans there with their faced painted? I was thinking what would happen to those fools if they wandered into South Boston looking like that? :D

LMAO!!! :D I gotta admit I was rooting HARD for Villanova (no disrespect to Craig, who's a great poster here).

I know all about Southie- my Dad grew up there.

Let's just say they would have been picked on just a little! ;)

So little mention of the best game in the tournament, so far, Memphis/Missouri. Jay Bilas said Memphis lost, as they did last year, with their poor free throw shooting. It was repeated by the press services this morning. For the record their free throw percentage for the season last year and this year was 63%. The final, against Kansas, was 63.2%. This year was 56% but 2 more points to raise their average wouldn't win them the game this year. They lost because they faced teams whose wills were stronger than theirs during that game, not because of free throws or because the other team was more talented.:D

This is what I'm talking about.

One final thought about last night at the Garden:

I always knew from TV that Levance Fields was a clutch player. But let me tell ya, when you see him in person you can see that he exudes confidence and leadership. That shot that he made last night was one for the ages, and the neutral Boston fans were cheering him on big time.

Dude has game!! :up

For once, I may have to agree with Sabres. Maybe getting over the Sweet Sixteen hump was all Pitt needed to propel them forward.

I know one thing.....................I like them BIG time tomorrow against Villanova!

I like Pitt, but I'm not predicting an easy win.

After what Villanova did to Duke last night, I am a bit cautious.

They lost to Villanova in the regular season. I picked Pitt to win this game in my brackets, but they have like crap so far in this tournament. I don't think Nova folds down the stretch like these other teams have.

They lost to Nova at Nova, the last game at the spectrum. A lot of emotions.

I'm not guaranteeing a Pitt win, but when Big East teams play each other, it's anybody's game.

But the thing is, if it's a tight game in the last minute(s), I want Fields, Blair and Young on my side.

If I'm a fan of an opposing team, and Fields has the ball tied or down one last possession.............I'm soiling my pants!!!
