I don't give a rats a$$ what the networks want.....I think a Dodgers vs. Rays series would be awesome! I HATE the Dodgers(what is left of my love for the Reds will NEVER have me root for them....it's a ole NL West thing...some wouldn't understand...LOL;)) And there will ALWAYS be BASEBALL fans that roots for the underdog.

I understand this ENTIRELY , I too remember the old NL divisions :D

Why again was the Reds in the NL West when they were CLEARLY on the EAST side of the US ?

We'll see if there is really is such a thing as an SI cover jinx.....

I get a kick out of this : And Hit and Laugh and Light up LA

Manny is not playing Against LA he's playing FOR them

Too bad they couldn't do that in the last series , so someone could watch it

What was really upsetting now in baseball and in most sports during late season and playoffs...alot of the really important games and playoffs...are on cable. There is still ALOT of people that do not have cable/satellite at home and your alienating alot of fans. And don't get me started about games starting after 8pm or lack of afternoon playoff baseball.....

I'm not expecting a series like that to get snow, but you never know. However, rain is a major problem for both philly and Boston. Dodgers vs rays would be an interesting series and I would rather see that then the phillies vs red sox anyway.
That kinda happens when they don't finish the WS till sometime into NOVEMBER.
I hope it SNOWS :D

They'll push those day games in the LCS to as late as possible, 4:37 p on the East Coast.
The "early"games will probably still overlap with the night games. If it wasn't for the fact there are two
games scheduled on three dates, there would be no "day" baseball. Any day games in the NLCS on
Fox will probably start even later than the advertised first pitch. Advertised WS start times of 8:22,
or 8:37 or whatever will likely also be delayed so Fox can squeeze in an additional ten minutes of
commercials and fall promos.

I wouldn't be so sure about either. Anybody know how the money and the ring receiptiants are determined? I know some players are voted money shares, some are determined by games played, but I thought rings were determined by the owner.

The Red Sox had decided that every player, even if he played just one inning for the 2004 team, would get a ring.

Nomar to receive World Series ring | redsox.com: News

I think history has shown that teams are pretty generous about handing out rings but players aren't so generous when it comes to giving out playoff shares...

Chase Utley and Pat Burrell homer in the 6th inning.........Phillies now lead, 3-2.

This series has the makings to be a classic!

D-Lowe knocked out after he looked unhittable.

I am clearly rooting for Philly.

While I too agree with Bill that Torre is a classy guy, I still think much of L.A. having an A-Hole for their star player.

Besides, one of the team I don't like are the Cardinals, also led by a classy manager in Tony LaRussa.

Just because the leader of a team is classy doesn't mean everyone on that team is nicety-nice.

There are alot of teams that have A -Holes (as you put it) as their star players, look around.

Well, I'm rooting hard for the Dodgers for obvious reasons. How could I watch this series? Great, the Phillies will win the World Series and I have to look at them celebrating. This is like the Yankees winning all those years all over again.

Who's the biggest NFL disappointment so far this season?

Best World Series of all-time?
