I saw that, STILL don't like him.
They have been looking at him for several years now, by the time they get him, he'll be an old man ....
Don't think I would like that move anyways.
I would rather go with Santiago first.

There is some speculation of Inge moving to SS, and Larish taking over at 3rd base. Inge was a SS before coming to the Tigers organization.
Maybe not.Giants reportedly to give Renteria $18 million deal - Baseball- nbcsports.msnbc.com
ANOTHER old guy in San Fran?
UPDATE: Talked to Bobby Evans, the Giants' director of player personal, and he also said there is no deal, although he did confirm the team continues to talk to Renteria, Furcal and others.
The Pittsburgh Pirates hope Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel really do have million-dollar arms.
The two 20-year-old pitchers, neither of whom had picked up a baseball until earlier this year, signed free-agent contracts Monday with the Pirates. They are believed to be the first athletes from India to sign professional baseball contracts outside their country.
OH OH! The Angels may be letting a big fish get away...and landing the BIG KAHUNA!!!!!
Angels' attention shifts from Mark Teixeira to CC Sabathia - Los Angeles Times
Maybe this is the contract that Sabathia is holding off for! He's originally from Vallejo, Cali and all his family still lives there. I'm sure he'd love to head west.
How bitter would you be if CC became an Angel?

That makes no sense. I didn't think pitching was a FA priority for the Angels...OH OH! The Angels may be letting a big fish get away...and landing the BIG KAHUNA!!!!!

I hadn't heard that one yet ....
How good is Larish in the field ....
Mike Hessman is the 3b in Toledo, very god D and a power hitter.
What do we know about Larish so far ?
Jimbo
Didn't he play in Toledo? I was hoping you knew more about him. All I know is what I saw here in Detroit. The Free Press had his total stats for the year (including the Arizona Fall League) and they were pretty impressive. Not sure about the glove.

Bitter? None. I've already gotten over the fact that he won't be returning to the Indians. As long as he doesn't go to a divisional rival, I'm fine with it.
The union will make him sign in New York. Sad, but true.
