2 622's and a 301.....

I had my 2nd 622 installed Monday. I had a 622 and a 301 before. I have two dishes: a 500 for 110/119 and a 300 for 129. So I have two cables coming down to my garage. The guy brought a "3-4 switch" to hook it up with, but he said it didn't work. He said he had to "trick" it to get it to work. Now he has one 622 connected straight to the cable from the satellite, and the other 622 and the 301 hooked to a splitter connected to the other cable coming from the satellites. Obviously, this is wrong, since one of the two TV's on the splitter never works.

How should it be set up? Is this something I can buy, or I am gonna have to deal with more incompetent contractors? TIA.

You need a dpp44 switch.. or two DP 34 switches stacked. Or a Dish1000.2.

Take your pick. But what you have now won't work with 5 tuners.

You need to either cascade another dp34 switch to your system and run additional line from there or replace the dp34 with a dpp44 switch and use separators on each of the 622's.

OK, it sounds like cascading another dp34 would be easiest. Can you tell me exactly where it should be hooked up? TIA.

Right next to the first one. You need three short pieces of R6 wire.
