My brother is a E* sub. His zip is 79735 and believes he can get both arcs. He would like to know if it is possible to connect a 1k2 and a 1k4 together. If it is possible, how would it be done. Are their any advantages to doing this?

It could be possible to connect both arcs together, but I really don't see an advantage unless a satellite on one of the arcs goes down, which rarely happens.

Definitely no advantage. Plus, the receivers will only support 5 satellite locations. Others have reported issues when 2 sats with the same channels are competing to be top dog.

Good answer dahenny. There is rarely a need for more than 4 satellites, and having both arcs would have no advantage.
