You just use the normal Netflix app, so it’s for all devices, not just the Hopper 3 or Plus.

Now they just need to do something similar with Hulu and Disney Plus…. I doubt they’ll do Paramount Plus or Peacock, but one can hope… the last two can be a potential way around retransmission fights - CBS with P+ and NBC with PC. Would be even cooler if it linked in with the Dish Anywhere App...

Another option is to purchase some broadband over powerline adapters from Amazon. They turn your home electrical wiring into a LAN and then you connect to the adapters using an Ethernet line.

The list I provided was for the Signal Protection channels only. Those channels normally received over satellite, but if you have signal loss, it switches to streaming. I did not include those channels that are streaming only (like BBC News, Channel 281), or those that have satellite for SD...

That was only true if MeTV was on the prime OTA signal. If it was on a subchannel, you would get it - at least I did in Indianapolis.

Dish says that it isn’t available for Hopper Plus right now. Also, they list the available streaming channels: 5 Star Max A&E ACC Network AMC American Heroes Channel Animal Planet Baby TV BBC America BBC News Black Entertainment Television Bloomberg Television Boomerang Bravo Cartoon Network...

I’ve been asking that question for a while. If nothing else, allow the Hopper to use the guide data from the digital broadcast signal. It won’t be a 7-9 day guide, but should give you at least 24 hours.

One thing to consider is that a bankruptcy court can override the agreements that the FCC or DoJ has with Dish, just like they can cancel or restructure debt based upon the decision of the judge or prior precedent.

if anyone has good contacts at Dish (cough, Scott, cough), they should recommend to anyone that will listen that Dish should totally stop development on the Hopper+ and embrace the fact that most, if not all, of their customers have FireTV’s, Fire Sticks, AppleTV’s, RokuTV’s, XBox’s, PS5’s, etc...

I would really like Dish’s OTA dongle that works on the Hopper to pull EPG data from the OTA signal of Dish doesn’t provide it over satellite. This will fill in a big hole for the non-Big 4 networks.
