2013 MLB Postseason

He was out, when you see the outfield camera.

I'm floored that they didn't show all kinds of angles ?

I also think he was safe. As for the camera angles, let's face it TBS coverage SUCKS.....especially the announcers!!!

I think I may have posted this before, but it is hard to believe that Colon is the AL ERA leader.

I love this start. 3-0 Tigs! I hate the 1:00PM start time on Monday. First we get 2 games starting after 9:00PM and then game 3 is in the middle of day. They are making as hard as they can for us eastern time zone people to watch the Tigers.

I was thinking about going to Mondays game, not any more with that start date. Nice to see the Tigers put some early runs on the board

Out of all 4 series, this one will never get the prime spots as both teams are not large market teams. The other 3 series all have at least 1 large market team.

Tigers need to keep scoring and hitting while Colon is pitching up in the zone.

I somewhat buy that but the list I saw last season showed the FS Detroit and the Tigers with the highest TV ratings in the MLB. Now these are local ratings and population size does affect them. I'm not sure hoe the Tigers national games hold up in the ratings compared to the other playoff teams.

I agree, the Tigers have a large national following. But the problem is most of the country is apathetic towards the A's.

I disagree wholeheartedly, they put the teams on in prime time by the interest ... The Tigers have been picked to go to the WS since day one, so the interest is there.
Also, when you have an Owner that is willing to PAY to get the players, it also effects the choice of who plays when ...

If the yankees were in it, they would be the prime time team , like they are every year, even though they don't have the star power they use to.

The ratings locally show that the team has a very strong following. But total viewership is not the same as the population is much smaller, so the total market is much smaller.

Also keep in mind that this is the only west coast game today. So this game has to be placed in a best local time. When the Dodgers play in LA on Monday, that game too will be 6:30 locally (9:30 ET) as it will be the only west coast game during a day when all 4 series will be occurring.
