I am throwing out two potential avatar bet challenges for this Sunday:Either a bet with Sandra for the Bills/Jets game or The Insider for Broncos/RaidersIf you lose, you have to put up a Bills avatar until Thanksgiving.

I'm not getting too hopeful for my resurgent Chiefs... tonight vs Chargers then

Miami
Denver
@ New England
Pittsburgh
@ Chicago
@ New York (Jets)
Green Bay
Oakland
@ Denver

Not the murderers row the Giants are facing... but we could lose all but 2-3 of those... I'd pencil us into a mediocre 12th pick or so in the draft. 8-8 (win 5 of those) would be a pretty optimistic view. Potentially HUGE impact on playoff teams if they can upset any though, and beating teams like the Patriots and Jets could improve possible wildcard chances.

What also makes this schedule tough for the Chiefs is the traveling involved. That Chiefs-Pats game is three weeks from tonight, and I'm looking forward to Cassell vs. Brady for the first time.

I was a little shocked how the ESPN's NFL crew kissed Parcell's a$$ on how the Dolphins mess is not Parcell's fault.

Amazing...
yeah nothing amazes me about espn anymore.good job on leaving a couple of morons to run the organization bill......thanks

...and on MNF to boot.

Probably our best shot at an upset. We upset the Raiders coming off games against 2 subpar teams. So what they were winless, they served to give the Chiefs confidence going into Oakland. They could have a similar run-up playing Miami and Denver before going to the razor Monday night.

I just hope for competitive games, not the embarassment they were to start the season. Continue to improve, show that there's something there worth building off of.

Now comes word from HueJax that they will tryout T.J. Houshmendzadah tomorrow?

WHY?! The Raiders have one of the best young WR corps in the NFL?! Who would they cut? Sign the guy just because he is familiar with Carson Palmer...and they worked out when Palmer was semi-retired?!

Please no!

After they host the Giants this Sunday, three of the next four Pats games are supposed to be in primetime:

@ Jets- SNF
Chiefs- MNF
@ Eagles- Sunday 4:15
Colts- SNF

After the Ravens-Steelers game this Sunday night, the rest of the Sunday night games are subject to be "flexed out" (only exception is Bears-Packers week 16 game on Xmas night). You can be assured the Colts-Pats game will be moved to Sunday afternoon with the Colts still winless.

In my opinion, the bottom line is that Tebow is a very overrated young QB. He's obviously not ready for the NFL right now, and from watching yesterday's game, he's got a lot of work to do if he really wants to be a good QB. Having said that, I agree that some of the Lions' players may have went a little too far on the mocking. On the other hand, I can see why the Lions are now doing a lot of bragging. After all, they've always been the punching bag of the NFL for a really long time and it finally seems they got something going now. But I'm not celebrating just yet. Remember the last time the Lions were 6-2 in 2007? They went 1-7 in the 2nd half of the season and missed the playoffs. So I say they should relax a little and keep focusing on what they gotta do. Next week is a bye for them but after that, it's gonna be tough with 6 out of the next 8 games going against teams with winning records and even though the Lions won 6 games so far, they were all against teams with losing records so they really need to keep working and not lose their cool.

I actually want the Chargers to win tonight

I'm not a Chargers fan but I want them to win tonight so they feel confident going against the Packers next week. You figure if they beat the Chiefs, they'll have a good shot at beating the packers. As for the Packers, this is really the only high-caliber team they have left to deal with before they face the Lions on Thanksgiving and I would really like the Packers to lose a game before Thanksgiving. Again, I'm not a Chargers fan, but I really want the Packers to lose, so in this case, Go Chargers!:D (I know the Lions will be facing them in Week 16. By then, well, you know who I'll really be rooting for.)

Aside from the "Tebowing," I do remember watching a video of a Lions' player, after the Falcon's QB Ryan was sacked & Ryan was still on the ground, laying down next to him & posing like a hunter after a trophy kill. But you know what? It's football. I'm sure the Ravens do it & so do the Raiders & Steelers. It's bravado.

Thank you, thank you, a thousand times THANK YOU!! It pisses me off to no end when teams do this! Win for a while before you start talking friggin' s&#t!! Remember where you came from, and have some semblence of modesty.

Thing is, this team is starting a NEW ERA in Detroit.

Not many of the same players that were there even 3 years ago.

New players, new attitude.

It's a shame it took so long for them to start bringing in better players ( once the millenerror was over, it started to change)

As far as the Bronco's QB goes, they haven't even been dressing Brady Quinn. I doubt they'll go back to Orton. The Broncos' only hope is that Tebow will get better(can he play worse?),or that the Indianapolis Colts, the Miami Dolphins,& all the other teams trying to suck for Luck will all of a sudden start winning. The way a lot of teams are hurting for QB & not many "known" proven QB's seem to be coming into the draft next year,Kellen Moore may have a legitimate shot after all. USC's QB is only a junior, who else is there after Andrew Luck(if he does decide to come out,he's also only a junior) & Oklahoma's QB who doesn't need elevator shoes or shoe lifts to look taller?

Frankly I don't have a problem with how they act, they are winning games and they feel good about it. If they shouldn't be aloud to act like that then nobody should, since ask teams do it then they should also.

Your on. The bet is contingent on Tebow actually starting though. Which all indications is he will.

The Bronco/Raider bet is supposed to be between me and the Insider, the guy who is booking Tebow to win this weekend. If I wanted to challenge you, I would have done so when Oakland played Buffalo in week 2.

Like I said.... I would not have taken the bet because I would have no baring in that outcome. Nothing I could do to help myself to win....

"LMAO...!" Guess bye week practices with that "best young WR corps in the NFL" must not be going so well.
