Remember, NONE of this mean ANYTHING till the NCAA gives thier say about it all in August.
Also, whatever they end up getting for punishment (if the NCAA says this is enough, or if they add a ton more to it) it's NOT gonna be enough for all the Buckeye haters on this board.

That is why the penalty is insufficient. Be if from a parent of a two year old, to a city judge in a jaywalking case, to a state judge in a major felony, to a jury in a tort case, to an EPA bureaucrat in a polution case, to the president of the USA in dealing with rogue countries, to the NCAA, the rubric in doleing out punishment is the same. Hopefully, one shames the perpertrator into conforming his/her/its behavior to societal norms, but in any case you make it hurt so much that the behavior is not repeated.
Outlaw State's arrogant fan base, its arrogant and delusional administration, and its guilty coaching staff simply do not get it. The penalty has to be enough that Outlaw State, five or ten years on, says "I fought the Law and the Law won". It has to be enough that this rouge behavior is not repeated, by Outlaw State or by any other program.
Sadly, in continuing to conduct itself in its arrogant and defiant manner, Outlaw State shows that the penalty must be far greater than this. Probably only death will sufice. Outlaw State's choice, not anyone elses.

Actually they were. It was the best team they had since the 1983 final 4 dream dawgs. They were favored to win the SEC tournament and go far in the NCAA tournament. So yes, it was a real punishment.
As I state, Exhibit #1 on the theme of "Outlaw State just does not get it".
Outlaw State was running a professional program. It was using the subtrafuge of worthless token items as one of its many forms of paying its players, so it could field a professional team against the schools who were following the rules and thus playing amateur players. Its professional players "sold" trinkets worth a few pennies for many $$. Because they were really being paid for play.
Similarly, when it all comes out, we have the free cars, the women, etc. Simply put, Outlaw State is a professional program.

As in court, and as in church, the amount of true contrition, is very relevant. Outlaw State has shown none.

He mentions "a solid, grounded coaching staff" -- who is Michigan's head coach ? They fired Rodriguez and admittedly, I pay little attention, but wasn't aware they'd hired a replacement.

I see your going to turn a blind eye as well, there are MANY schools out there that do the same things, just haven't been caught by the NCAA yet.

That makes him a professional in your eyes, but nothing will be said or done till many years go by, much like the USC situation.
It's been explained here many times what the TEAM gained. They got to play with players that most likely would have been suspended if the Vest hadn't turned a blind eye. So, instead of potential losses, OSU gets vacated wins, their head coach loses his job and the program faces further potential penalties. What's better??

Umm, they used professional players. Against amateurs. Players that attended Outlaw State because they were paid to do so, players who, had Outlaw State followed the rule like everybody else, would have gone elsewhere. The Liar's entire career, at YSU and at Outlaw State is based on illegally paying players. Nothing he ever did actually happened.
