Zenith Hd-sat520 Vs H-10 Help

I have a d** extended warranty. My Zenith Sat-520 just burned up and d** sent me a referb H10 as a equal replacement. The picture looks poor compared to the Zenith. I'm using a dvi cable with hdmi converter end to a new Pani LCD 37" HDTV.

Should I ask for a better unit? If so what one?

I am using a H10 with a hdmi cable to the dvi input on my set and the picture is great. I would try a hdmi cable and if it does not improve then go for another receiver.
