Z Nation

It actually is not a bad show. Of course it is going to be compared to TWD, but it has struck out on its own path and seems to be telling a good story.

I consider Z-nation a more Zombie light version, with a more flair for comedy -like a dark comedy. Walking Dead has an obviously more drama-centric focus. I like both shows.

I love both shows. They compliment each other well. I get my action packed, funny zombie show and my serious, dramatic zombie show. Fit's all my zombie apocalyptic needs.

That's good. Z Nation actually has some fun in it, where the zombies are actually some sort of threat, as opposed to the slow melodic pace that the Walking Dead has gone into.

I think that the reason the Walking Dead is showing the Zombies slowing down is because it has been a couple of years since the apocalypse started and they are starting to wind down a bit. I imagine that in another couple of years the zombies should be nothing but rotted half skeletons. Unless the zombie virus keeps them from fully disintegrating like a regular corpse.

By slow pace, I was referring to the plot of the show. We get an action filled season opener, mid-season finale, and season finale, with a whole lot of boredom in between.

Z Nation on the other hand has manged to keep up a steady pace. Hopefully it doesn't slow down.

I think that Z-Nation's strength is that they kill off people at a much faster rate. I thought Tom Everett Scott was going to be the leading character...

Looks like a strategy of rotating the cast in and out fairly quickly.

Remember that The Walking Dead is not about the zombies though, it's about the people and how they react to the situations they are forced into. The show is all about the characters and not just action.

Sorry, I thought we were talking about the slower pace of zombies on W.D. vs Z-Nation.

I didn't see any nukes land or sky burst, and neither did you.

They talked about a hacker trying to get control of the systems earlier that episode, and I expect they'll say that hacker made the missiles veer off into space at the last second.

There just aren't a whole lot of possibilities left. It's either that, the old "dream sequence" B.S. or super wannabe half-zombie dude using his super zombie telekinesis powers to turn the missiles.

Of course. nukes have fallen out of planes before, crashed to the ground from thousands of feet up, and not blown. That's happened in real life. Who says they are even loaded or "hot" in this tv show?

Anything is possible with this show.Radioactive zombies, zombie bears.mutant zombies, they have it all.

I'd have to say the "Viagra zombies" a couple shows back was going too far.... How could Viagra work on them, when they don't have any blood circulation?

Then again, zombie animals would obviously be game over, because if that happens, there's no food and no survival for living humans.

The nukes thing looks like the very thing that happened at the end of season 1 Revolution. Two nukes headed for the capital of Monrovia republic (Philadelphia) and one headed to the capital of the Georgia republic Atlanta. When season 2 started it had already happened and we were like 6 months from the events. That show tanked before the end of season 2. If they pull something similar on Z nation, it could tank this show as well.

I just watched the last episode last night. I really enjoyed the whole first season. I really have no idea what they plan on doing with these nukes. Maybe they will kill everyone off and just start fresh again with the next season. It seems they have no issues killing off characters on this show. I looking forward to the next season though. Never thought I'd end up liking Murphy as much as I did.

It's the quirky characters that always make you like them. Without Murphy , the show wouldn't be the same and the band of survivors wouldn't have any mission or direction. Kind of like Walking Dead before they had the mission to go to Washington D.C. . Even though now , that really isn't going to serve any purpose anymore since Eugene lied about being able to fix the apocalypse. So who knows where that show will go either.
