Amazon has classic TOS HD DVD for $97; used for $77.

My wife just bought it for me, a few days before Toshiba made its announcement. When she saw the Toshiba announcment on the NHK news, she was upset. But, it's a DVD combo set, so I still get to use it, even after I sell my A2.

Besides, the price will undoubtedly drop within the 30 day price protection. And, I'll bet if you wait Ms Turkee, you'll see it available for much less in the coming weeks, as well.

BTW, it's awesome, even in SD. (I've been watching it in SD in the bedroom, while I've been sick with the flu.)

i just bought all 3 seasons of classic trek for $120 but haven't had a chance to watch yet. i figure the prices will drop like hotcakes very soon but no harm looking for used copies!

Check the used CD/DVD/video-game stores in a month or two.... Then again, I wonder if they'll even be interested in buying HD-DVDs.
