Wrong Satellite, Please Help!!!!!

I recently received a Dishnet dish and receiver from my Dad. It was in his garage when he moved into his new house. He gave it to me and said I can do with it as I please.
I'm sure I've found the correct satellite, bit the RX keeps telling me that I have the wrong satellite. It will recogize the Bell signal and will turn green, but for the dishnet system all is red, it will not see the corect satellite.
Can ANYONE explain to me what's going on. It's been a few years since this system has been up and running, but should it not see the right satellite?
Any help would be appreciated!
If anyone has and BELL questions, just let me know and I'll do my best to answer them. As for Dishnet, I have no info as I'm new at this.....

Sounds like you have an Expressvu receiver not a Dish receiver. A box with software for one provider is not authorized to receive programming from the other.
