True. I wouldn't switch to DTV unless I planned on stacking.
Now that's humor.

The purpose is the same, yes. The methods are vastly different. Sad that you can't see that....
Bad analogy. One person buys the car, but multiple people can't drive the car at the same time.
A better analogy (on a smaller scale) would be renting a DVD, watching it, then a neighbor pays you half the rental price to watch it before returning it the next day.
They say they won't ask for the things that you've excepted. That just reminded me of something - doesn't Dish emphasize that they'll never call you and ask for information ?
I'm not suggesting that any Dish employee who behaves rudely or insulting should be tolerated. I am saying that Dish needs to and has chosen to verify that their customers are abiding by the contract terms and not stealing service. Once again, if you have a better method then make the suggestion to Dish, maybe they'll use it. So far, the only suggestion I've seen is to require people to either purchase landline phone service or internet service.
It's called " I had no interest in the thing"...I have a better question. How is it you have managed to have 8968 post on this site and do not know the answer to that. But the answer is that it is a joey with two tuners in it that seamlessly integrate into the hoppers. In other words when used in conjunction with a hopper it is like having a 5 tuner hopper.
Thanks....The Super Joey adds two additional tuners to the Hopper.

I will have to do some price comparisons before I take the plunge. The Super Joey is like a Joey but it adds two more tuners to the Hopper. It makes the Hopper a 5 tuner system. So if you went with a Hopper, Super Joey and two regular Joeys you would have a complete 4 room HD setup with 5 tuners. The monthly equipment fees for this setup would be $36.
There you go. Dish is violating their own contract. IF we determine, THEN we will disconnect services...not before. If we later determine that you did, we may disconnect your Services
