Winegard HD-8200U antenna modification

I have a winegard hd8200u antenna that I recently purchased.
I remember reading something about an antenna being misengineered and requiring a simple modification to increase signal strength. I thought it was the hd 8200u or 8200p but I can't seem to find any information.
If anyone has any information on this I would appreciate it.

I do not recall ever seeing or reading that.

The new CM4228 uas some engineering issues, but I do not remember anything about the Winegard HD-8200U.
