Actually, I'm thinking maybe Monday.

That could bring the MPEG4 110 transition.

The other night, I was looking through the EPG for the HD PPVs, looking for off air periods that may be indicative of a move to 129/61.5. I noticed 539 was off air for an hour and a half Monday morning. I didn;t give much thought to it as it was the only one.

But checking the list today while board waiting for the uplink, 539 is the one remaining MPEG2 HD PPV. Perhaps it will be going away at that time.

I think the MPEG2 HD channels need to go to MPEG4 first and then we'll see some new HD channels. Maybe tonight or tomorrow early morning and then on Friday we get the new HD channels.

No, but I expected at least some uplink changes. Today is a goose egg. Certainly they have to test the channels, and to test channels, doesn't there have to be some table entry?

They don't have to test them, the HD streams are already there and are being used by HD PPV.

Also the remaining MPEG2 HD needs to be converted to MPEG4.

There is a whole transponder available at 110.

So the MPEG2-HD channels only need to be converted IF they are adding more than 7 HD channels.

If that is true, then they would need to bring EchoStar 8 online, because I don't think there is more than 1 transponder of free space at 61.5 and 72.

Weren't the last couple HD adds uplinked at weird times anyway? The last one went up on the weekend, didn't it(HBOs, etc.). Truthfully, it's probably a better sign that things aren't proceeding as usual on Wed. afternoons.

Are those NBA League Pass HD games the same ones that are shown on Regional HD channels ?

Or does Dish have to host HD matches that are not otherwise available to anyone other than through NBA League Pass ?
