Will Dtv match an equipment offer?

Has anyone had any luck getting DTV to match the free hd and dvr offer from DN? I hate rebates and from the sound of things its hard to get your money back from DTV.
Any advice? Or should I wait until the new offers come out 3/1?

If you want to pay for a leased box wait until march 1. I would just take the mail in rebate. I had no problem with getting them

Why would directv make you pay for an leased box ?

The way i see it, from the press release, that if you lease it, then you will get it for free, but if you have more then one STB's on your account, then directv will charge the lease fee, of 4.99 per month/per box

lease fee = mirror fee
the same thing, but when you cancel you account, you send back the box to directv, just like with cable tv providers.

I see them charging a lease fee and a mirror fee. My local cable co already does it. Does dish charge more for a lease than owning?

I just hope that the lease is viewed as an addl option, and that you can still decide to purchase the equipment.

Note I said I HOPE, not that they will.

Also it would be nice to be able to lease till you have paid for it.
Or lease it for your 2 year commitment, then have it be yours afterwards.
